Ethylphenidate as highly effect anti runny nose medicine!

I've been getting worse and worse hay fever symptoms the past week or so. I take loratadine every day (sometimes triple or quadruple doses) which helps keep most symptoms at bay if I stay in doors. Going outside though will be fine until I get back in side, then my nose will leak water and my eyes will get itch and filled with tears. The worst bit about the runny nose is that it tickles the nose hairs and makes me sneeze uncontrollably. I've previously noted when snorting ethylphenidate that it gives a very "clear" feeling after the initial burn has worn off. I've just snorted two millimeter lines up each nostril and within minutes the runny nose has reduced a lot! I'm guessing this works in a similar way as pseudoephedrine would by increased noradrenaline levels a bit and causing vasoconstriction to reduce the amount of liquid getting to the nose.

Anyone else noticed something like this? Or use RCs for other purposes than getting high :D?
