Quick question: I Can't seem to find any info on it. I know Ritalin is Methylphenidate and consumed with alcohol that makes Ethylphenidate in the body somehow. So If i were to say take some of the Ethylphenidate in its powdered form with no alcohol. Would the ethyl part show up as an alcohol reading on a breathalyzer?

Sorry for being a noob with this - I've got a huge 12 hour drive coming up and was planning to use a few 100mg oral caps to keep me awake if needed. (thats a very low dose for me btw due to tol building up, I often drop 800mgs a time and on 100mg I would be perfectly safe driving). Was just a bit scared I would get pulled up then breathe into the machine and fail it. Any help greatly appreciated!

No.

Just because ethylphenidate has "ethyl" in the name doesn't mean it has ethyl alcohol in it. Yes, methylphenidate + ethanol (ethyl alcohol) does cause ethylphenidate to be produced in the body, but taking ethylphenidate isn't going to make your body produce alcohol and methylphenidate. It doesn't work that way.

Ethylphenidate will not show up as alcohol on a breathalyzer test. We don't do drug testing questions or discussion here and this is bordering on it....so I'm going to close this thread. PM me if you have any questions.
