Background: I've had 200+ 4mg dilaudid monthly for over 3 years, have tried all ROAs, and am quite certain of what I love/hate, but it differs based on the generic MFG. Yes I UTFSE but found nothing. Here's my 2 examples, I'm hoping someone has some idea as to why.. This pertains to snorting only btw, as all other ROAs provide the same effects between brands.

Mallinckrodt 4mg hydromorphone hcl - Insufflated, 4mg-24mg: Slight change of mood, feel like I swallowed half of one. Results are the same whether I do a bunch in a couple of lines, or over time, say 30-60 mins or even repeat for hours.

Ethex 4mg hydromorphone hcl - Insufflated, 4mg-8mg: Amazing onset (felt quickly, 20mins strong) with a lovely mood change, euphoria etc that lasts a couple hours. Repeating 2-3 hours later, same results.

I'm baffled as to why there is such a profound difference between these two generics. 99% of the time my pharmacy has the M4s but recently they had the Ethex, and noticing that they're about 1/2 the size as the M4s for the same mgs, I had to rail some and was blown away by the results, absolute night and day. Malli M4s do nothing for me railed or plugged so I typically take them orally after a few potentiating meds, specifically soma+klonopin+DPH and I get great results but only if I take 6 or 8 of em.. Anyone have similar results, or any ideas as to why this is happening? I can't figure out if it's a difference in chemistry between the two pills (binders?), or if it's just ME, as everyone else that rails the M4s gets predictable, decent results, while I don't.

Thanks-

given the ROA, i'd chalk most of it up to differences in binders and fillers in the pills.

but BDD does not allow for threads comparing brands, as stated in the BDD guidelines.
