I don't know very much about this chemical other than it is said to cause Hallucinations and I can get it really easily for free..Pretty Much I'm looking for as much info as possible before I decide to do it, what are the effects? is it addictive? is it harmful, if so in what ways? You know the basics that one should know before doing any drug.- Thanks

Ether kicks ass. If your getting it from starter fluid or something sketchy like that then I would advise against it strongly (permanent nerve and brain damage). If your getting what you know for sure to be pure pharmacetical grade stuff then you will definitely have hallucinations and many other cool effects. Ether is one of the best drugs out there that no ones ever heard of. Ether is used to make meth, purify coke, etc. because it is an amazing solvent. That being said, be careful where you get this from because you can probably end up on some kind of watch list or something.

Some friend this Google guy is, he sent the OP to the wrong page.

Here you are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diethyl_ether

I didn't realize women used to swallow this stuff because they weren't allowed to drink! See "Hoffmann's Drops." I've never done it and it doesn't sound very appealing. It's usually used as an inhalant but it's much safer than is par for that class of drugs. When I was a kid my grandpa (a rural farmer) showed me his old timey bottle and told me it was fun but that if you took too much it'd "knock yer lights out!" A friend who used to work at a hospital stole some vials (not sure why they had it) once and said it was enjoyable, but I think his enjoyment was just for the novelty of using the GHB of yesteryear, since he only did it for a little while.

lol the last time I heard about ether abuse was int he movie "Fear and loathing is Las Vegas" ....With that said if I had access to pharmaceutical grade ether I would certainly try it

If you're getting it from starting fluid, there is no home way to get the hydrocarbons out (the shake with water thing does not work), and thus, you will get a combination of the effects of ether, and those of the much more toxic solvents (think, sniffing glue). So, don't use ether from starting fluid. The high isn't that great (mainly because of side-effects from the other crap).

If you're getting real ether, should be worth doing.
Be aware that it is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY FUCKING FLAMMABLE. It evaporates very rapidly, and the vapors are much heavier than air, and so will crawl along the floor.

I'm not sure what it's method of action is. It's a centrally acting anesthetic and sedative, causes euphoria, loss of coordination, etc. I never got hallucinations in the trippy sense. Some visual artifacts maybe, but nothing like a hallucinogen or deliriant. I'd compare it most closely to nitrous, only obviously much longer acting.

I've done a bit of pharmaceutical grade diethyl ether and I have to say it's not that great.

I've never had hallucinations from it. It kind of gives a nice warm buzzing sensation but it also makes you feel sick in your stomach. I'm generally quite okay with strong nausea but I've vomited a few times on it.

The WORST thing is the taste it leaves in your mouth. It's like you ate a white board marker and a whole lot of raw garlic... and it hangs around for about 24 hours. Other people can smell it on your breath too.

Also it inhibits your ability to process alcohol. I did it once after a night out drinking and the next day I had a really bad hangover.

I've found it pretty similar to nitrous, so if you know what that's like then you're not missing out.
