So I took these in combination with each other last night as follows:

Around 9:00 me and a friend started smoking, about 4 bongloads (strong medical indica) while waiting for a third friend to arrive. I also drank one beer at this point and took ~10mg hydrocodone (vicodin, no tolerance). About 30 mins later after a trip to the grocery store for soda we felt pretty tired from the weed and drank a cup of coffee each, then another two bongloads. I started drinking at this point, a few mixed drinks and shots for 5 shots of 80 proof vodka (150mL). Friend arrived and we rolled a few joints, drove around and smoked these, got more food and coffee. Back home and more drinks, another 5 shots of vodka and 2 more beers. At this point we call it a night since my two friends have class the next morning. It's around 12:30. I've been sure to drink a lot of water all night as well.

Now I'm fully aware alcohol and opiates potentiate each other, and I felt pretty hammered. But is there anything about this combination that is known to make the effects last longer? Because it's now 11 AM, my friends went to class about 2 hours ago (8 hours poor sleep last night), and I still feel pretty drunk. If I didn't know better I'd think I took 2 or 3 shots an hour ago. I'm in a weird headspace, my motor function is slightly impaired, typing is more difficult than usual, I get dizzy easily, my eyes are glassy, and I look drunk. 12 hours after I stopped drinking and I should be completely sober by now. By comparison, thursday I had around 12 shots of better vodka, 4 beers, and more weed. I woke up the next morning (7 hours later) and felt completely sober, albeit a bit hungover as I didn't drink as much water as I should have.

Is there anything known about this combination that could explain why I'm still drunk after 12 hours? This just seems strange to me as this seemed like a fine combination.

Summary of what I took:
10 shots of 80 proof vodka (300mL)
10mg hydrocodone (no tolerance)
3 large cups of black coffee
3 bongloads and a few joints of indica weed

I've also been peeing like a horse since last night.

I'd imagine it has something to do with you drinking after taking hydrocodone with no tolerance, and I'm sure the coffee didn't really help. Though 10mg is a small dose you did drink a lot of alcohol.

I guess this was sort of a dumb question. I know opioids and alcohol make each other's effects stronger when taken together, but I've never heard of anybody being drunk for 14 hours straight when combining the two. And my dosages of either weren't incredibly high either.

Dont know how much you smoke regularly but if its not too often weed can cause quite an afterglow the next day. Then you may still have a little bit of alcohol in your system and though it was a small dose of opiates those will linger too...
