Technical Problem Error sending PMs?

These types of error can be a potential network error or sometimes browser extensions interfering with the website.

Hard-mode oriented privacy browser(Libre/Chromium/Cromite, etcera) can cause such things if certain flags are either misconfigured or not fully out of beta phase.

There's lot of code added to nowadays ethernet and is a reason why developers struggle to maintain stability within their main sandbox environment. I have seen this more and more on Unix system running Firefox, and how is causing massive lag and lot of errors inexistent on other web engines.

For standard browsing, I say, Edge is a elegant balance between freedom and performance.

My browser parameters have not changed. No updates either. This is a site issue.

I still can't send DMs today. In addition, the site is lagging bad on my end.

I switched browsers, I also used safe mode in both so that extensions were disabled. Nada. Still no DMs.

The lag is caused by the XenForo platform being a mainstream web rendering UI therefore having some electro shocks with Google servers.

And it could very well be the computer where the site is stored at.

If it runs on Unix and has TimeShift enabled that's a rookie move.

If it runs on unstable distros such as Windows 11 that's a reason too.

Also Google again because you use AdBlockers.(plus the well known monopoly where Chrome is fast and other are shit) despite being in judge court for it, still their here.

Tried every possible imaginable browser, all chromium based ones do not work, neither does firefox. Clearing cache and/or cookies does not work. Don't have extensions installed. Site issue.

Yeah Brave usually works for me whenever Firefox fails, but unfortunately not in this instance.

I cannot send PMs either, as of right now.

What are the advantages of Discourse forums over XenForo forums?

That's a fearful question to ask, they are the same gui. They both offer diverse large communities option to customize themself. The main drawline is Rails ; not written in the classic phpbb and it requires some custom settings each and there but is very easy and not different from it. As a dev you both have guides available.

Plus XenForo is not made by my knowledge, unverified atm, still maintained by vBulletin ex devs. And overall XF will become a thing of past in less than five years.

there's so many options to choose from, xenforo is not really customer friendly I've noticed just browsing their support forums, they're slow to roll out updates as well. discourse is monthly payments and xenforo a 1 time transaction, not feasible for a dwindling community that's being buried in google search results, reddit swallowed all of the old community forums up with their stranglehold. phpbb is free and open source, about as good as xenforo with updates really, mybb is better with updates and is also open source, no payments required, but it's all slightly different and will take a lot of time getting used to for current users again. this just seems like an issue with the set-up instead of the software in particular like you said.
