Erection problems after heavy heroin use

Before heroin I had a very healthy sex life. I then started to heavily abuse heroin forna couple years. Obviously because opiates kill your testosterone levels, sex became impossible.

I now sit here roughly 1.5 years clean of every drug except for the occasional alcoholic beverage.

I can get an erection, but I constantly lose it. Every couple minutes I will completely lose it and have to start over. My current partner is extremely forgiving and has never made me feel embarrassed, however it is.

I would assume my test lvls are back to normal. Ive been thinking about getting viagra, but I am only 26 and having to eat a pill to have sex is not something I had in kind.


Has anyone had this issue? If so, how did you solve it?
 
See a doctor to rule out physical causes. Could be low T or an unrelated issue like high blood pressure. It's probably lack of confidence, though, because when you have the problem once you are afraid of it the next time and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. Viagra can help break that cycle because after a couple times with no issue, you can get your confidence back and not need the pills anymore.
 
That's a difficult question actually.:? Nobody is immune from this problem. I used to have it too. Right now It's getting better, but still. It was kind of humiliated when my sweatheart, love of my life wanted to make love with me but I couldn't do it. Viagra and Cialis I have bought help a bit, but I'm not cured yet. I'm keeping taking medicaments and I swear that I will never use heroin again. It's too bad for my sexual life :(

Was it IV heroin use? I can see improper filtration causing cardiovascular issues and blood flow problems. Definitely get your testosterone levels checked.

I recently went on suboxone but kept the dose low, my testosterone levels are definitely back to normal. Pretty much finishing puberty right now. I started using young.

I would also recommend Maca Root. It is an adaptogen and raises improper hormone levels. Like if you aren't producing enough testosterone it will raise it and improve your sex life. I have utilized it in the past when I quit using and I noticed problems in that area and it worked amazingly.
