Erectile Dysfunction and reduced libido from MDMA use.

In the past 2 weeks I've noticed that I no longer get aroused as easily as I did only a few weeks ago, I find it hard to maintain an erection, my erections (whilst still similar size) feel softer than they should and climaxing feels much less satisfying. My MDMA use has been fairly heavy the past 3 months, sometimes dropping every week. 2 weeks ago I had a particularly heavy night (taking roughly 0.8g) and I just couldn't get it up, trying to have sex with my girlfriend 2 days later - I was pretty bummed out but I didn't think too much of it. Anyway my girlfriend's gone travelling for a few weeks so since I've attributed my problems to missing her etc. Today though I made the connection that this all started after that night. Can MD cause a chronic reduction in libido? I'm only 19 so I'm finding this whole situation pretty worrying. Does anyone have any advice for me? Any info would be great. Also I fully intend to stop dropping until this is sorted out (and greatly reduce how much I take in the future). Cheers.

i had comedown ... more weird that "only" that (only doesnt means less imporntant) and i had sex disfunction. but i wait like 1 month and everything in sex was ok..only other issue went on.

There is less drive when taking opiates for me. I counter it with viagra. Puts you right back on top, actually over the top.

sexual dysfunction is very much related to anxiety but I also believe there has to be something else. Haven't had a full erection in around 5 months. Consistently get it to about 90%. There has been a very slight improvement over these past 5 months, but not as much as I would have hoped.

I am not gonna rule out anxiety completely at this stage. The fact that every time you masturbate/ have sex, you will be analysing your own performance and how full your erection is only natural but also counterintuitive as full erections occur spontaneously/ when you are sexually focused, not from willing it to happen. Admittedly, it's beginning to look less and less like an anxiety problem.

Another smart thing to do would be do give up any other habits which are linked to ED. This includes smoking, a poor diet, irregular sleeping patterns and continued drug use while experiencing post-MDMA issues. I have cut down on smoking by around 75%, and still can't sort my sleeping patterns out. These are 2 things I will be working on improving even more over the next few months. Keep us posted on how you get on

Hmmmmm it seems that since I made the connection to MDMA use last night, I've COMPLETELY lost my ability to get it up. This has reassured me to an extent that my problem's at least partly due to anxiety, if not entirely (hopefully). I think I'm going to try to forget about it and make some lifestyle changes - if that doesn't work, probably visit a Dr. While I'm stopping my MDMA use, does anyone know if other drugs have similar negative effects on libido? ie. would I still be able to take shrooms, LSD, 2C-B etc. without causing more damage?

MDMA makes things harder to get it up and stay up. Sex drive can be down due to serotonin being up also. Orgasm takes ages too. Usually if I drop on Friday nite, it's like Tuesday before I'm proper normal horny again.

I think the change in my libido is the biggest contributor to any ED problems I'm having. Namely, I don't even feel like having sex. My desire for physical contact is pretty much nonexistent.
I'm not sure what its like for you OP, but for me if I don't feel like doing it then it ain't gonna happen.
The only girl I still feel a sexual attraction to is my ex. Kindof SOL there. Can't really be like 'hey I messed myself up on drugs and now you're the only girl I wanna have sex with. Wanna get back together?'
I also noticed orgasms are less intense. No fun.

Have the exact same 'problem'... I cant even have sex one or two days after MDMA cause I go as soft as puppy shit. Happens with most amphetamine esque drugs mate. Take 2 weeks off porn and off MDMA and you'll start to get it up again, promise ! I thought I was getting 'old before my time' but it's nothing a small break doesn't fix. Happy fucking !

I would suggest that it's an anxiety related problem then. You're thinking about it, so it's still happening. There is obviously no MDMA left in your system 3 months later, and I would suggest your serotonin should be pretty much replenished. It is worth remembering there are a dozen different chemicals that affect your body's ability to 'perform', and several dozens reason why any of those should be 'unbalanced'.

I'm letting the OP know my opinion on his troubles because I had the exact same thing happen to me at the exact same age, with the exact same heavy drug use patterns.

Yeah I should probably mention that it's been a month now and I have to say my situation's improved a lot. I'm pretty sure I'm like 90% back to normal - I'm still gonna lay off MD for a while longer though and try never to go to such extremes again. I reckon I should be cool.

OP, check out the thread I just created in reference to this. Let me know if things work out, good luck!

Yeah, what you’re describing lines up pretty well with heavy MDMA use, it can mess with serotonin and dopamine, which directly affects libido, erection quality, and how strong orgasms feel. At your age it’s very unlikely to be permanent, but weekly use + a high dose like that can definitely knock your system out of balance for a while. The best thing you can do now is exactly what you said, stop completely for a few weeks/months, give your brain time to reset, get good sleep, eat properly, and avoid other substances (especially alcohol). I’ve had a rough patch myself after overdoing stimulants, and things did come back once I gave it time and stopped pushing it. If you’re not seeing improvement after a couple of months, then it’s worth checking in with a doctor, but most guys bounce back once they let their body recover.

I’ve also dealt with erection issues during that kind of period, so I get how frustrating it is. What helped me a lot was Viagragotap.click/buy-viagra-sildenafil, it basically improves blood flow by relaxing the blood vessels, so even when your body is a bit “out of sync,” it helps you get and maintain a solid erection. For me it gave more confidence and removed that performance anxiety loop, which actually made recovery easier overall. I’d still treat it as support, not a fix for the root cause — give your system time to normalize, but in the meantime it can definitely help keep things working.

Holy necro, this thread is from 2013.
The guy hopefully figured it out by now.
