ER doc and tramadol

so for the last 3 days I've been having these Terrible pains in my molar and back bicuspid, 2 tooth infections going at once, it kept me up all night last night, I don't have insurance nor money for a dentist, I literally have like 15 bucks to my name, so I went to the ER, the doctor looked at my shit and was like Yep, your gonna need antibiotics and painkillers, and he gave me a dentist referral which of course I can't use because as I told him to begin with, I DON"T HAVE THE MONEY FOR IT, anyways he wrote me a script for 10 only 10 tramadol, I've taken 4 of them already and it isn't Touching the pain, I've tried ibuprofen, aleve, tylonol and now tramadol and nothing is helping, I can't believe this prick would give me tramadol for 2 toothaches anyways, the nerve of the fucking guy, is there any recourse? what can I do? I thought about going back and telling them that the tramadol gave me a seizure, but i'm sure they can check that with a ct scan, so what should I do?

I had a similar situation, instead my insurance didn't cover the ER visit and it cost me hundreds. And then getting the tooth pulled out of my mouth cost another few hundred. I know you say you're low on money but a dentist is really your best bet...are there any universities in your area that do things VERY VERY VERY cheaply? I've had dental abscesses, and in one case the infection got so bad it had to be pulled. It's serious shit, and hurts like a bitch --- they gave me hydrocodone after they pulled the tooth which didn't hurt afterwards, it was RELIEVING that I wasn't finally in pain from the abscess and infectious pus, before that they gave me codeine after I told them codeine makes me feel weird and uncomfortable (codeine was at the ER). The nurse said "well then just don't fill the script and take tylenol."

So I don't really have advice for you unfortunately, I just wanted to say I know how ya feel.

I know somebody around you can get you a premium opiate for a price, professional or not.

I can't imagine trams touching toothaches that severe. Did you double up your first dose of antibiotics, that's what my dentist always told me. 3 days before that'll start to help alleviate some of the pain. 800mgs of motrin is often better for this type of pain than hydros cause it will help with the inflamation. Pretty sure my dentist had me taking the large dose of motrin several times a day. Give it a shot before going back to the ER, theyll just hit you up for another visit, money that might as well be spent at a dentist. The 24hr dentists are starting to pop up in a lot of areas, I'm sure you can make payments with most. You can also call other hospitals and see if they have an Er dentist, some do.Just be prepared to wait awhile.

yeah I am calling the social services department tomorrow to see what health assistance services I can qualify for. I have had problems with my teeth most of my adult life due to the fact that as an infant my lungs were underdeveloped and I spent my first 3 years in breathing tanks, I almost did not survive actually, They presented an experimental medication to my parents that could help me survive but the side effect would be that it would mess up my teeth extremely bad, They chose the medication I got better, but my teeth came in all crooked and weak., so now they are pretty much deteriating on me before my eyes, after all that, my parents never really took me to a dentist growing up so I never received any dental care until I was older and needed emergency extractions and such., really shitty way to be, but it is my life.

once the antibiotics build up in your system you will feel better...but an er doctor giving ultram?...he must have wanted to keep the good shit for himself..

i would take iby 800...i got my wisdom teeth out and thats all they gave me....that for real mouth pain is a lifesaver...just watch your stomach

Yeah, I was taking 800 mg of Ibuprofen every 4 hours and then switch up to Naproxen Sodium which actually helped more, tonight I've taken 5 tramadols and 1600 mg of Ibuprofen and it is dulling the pain a LITTLE bit. but yeah man that Doctor has some Fuckin nerve, man it seems like all I've been running across is bitch made ass weirdo pussies lately. fuck can I do though, damn what I gotta get my fucking hand cut off to get some vicodin anymore? eh, people suck in general too, it's really been gettin on my nerves, meetin people that u think are cool and they turn out to be some paranoid lil bitches
