Misc Equate Childrens Cold and cough

Not sure where to put this, I am new to this site.

Anyways, I am hella bored and I have all day to spare, I found a bottle of Equate Childrens Cold and Cough DM elixir, and I was wondering if I could drink this all and trip out and be perfectly fine after a few hours.

It contains 8 FL OZ (full bottle)

The active ingredients are:

Brompheniramine maleate, USP 1mg
Dextromethorphan HBr, USP 5mg
Phenylephrine HCI, USP 2.5mg

I'm wondering if this is even enough DXM, and if it is even safe with the other AI.
Tell me what would happen if I drank all of this.
Also, if this is too bad for me to actually drink, is there any way to extract the DXM from the cough syrup?

Considering the low amount of dxm, especially in proportional relationship to the other I gee diners would make this very dangerous to get high off of.
That is not even close to enough dxm, and brompheniramine is a antihistamine which causes drowsiness and increased heart rate in sufficient dosages, as well phenylephrine increases blood pressure and these combined I'd imagine would be extremely dangerous if not fatal in the dosages required to get high off of such a low amount of dxm.
I'd get some robo gels, contain only dxm as an active ingredient, and 15mg of dxm per pill generally
 
Alright, I searched some more and found these pills, they contain 20MG DXM and 400MG gauf, i crushed 15 pills and boiled them in water for a whlie, and now i have a bowl witha little water in it and some powder left over, i'm not sure if this would work but i'm pretty sure gauf is soluble in hot water. i still have some powder in the bowl at the bottom.
 
You'd definitely be able to get at least a first plateau high (maybe second plateau, depending on your tolerance) from the Equate. Regardless of tolerance, you'd be able to get at least a second plateau high from the pills. Guiafenesin can cause projectile vomit and extreme nausea, but not in everyone. I took DXM with 5g of Guaif in it last night, and I didn't get any nausea or negative effects from it.
 
so i've just put it into the microwave again, and now i'm left with this powdery mess in my bowl, scraped it all into one spot and it looks pretty good, it's also all over my microwave cuz that shit like exploded but i have a lot, what is the best way to administer this?
 
.....wait, you boiled the pills, then put the remains in the microwave? Were you trying to extract the DXM from the pills? I'm not really a fan of extraction, so I don't know much about that. But DXM is always administered orally, so if the powder is DXM, you should mix it into some water and drink it.

Brompheniramine is an antihistamine which may produce similar effects as DPH. Phenylephrine is an additive that's not good for you, but not lethal. None of the drugs in the equate would kill you or do serious damage if you only drank one bottle.

I crushed the pills, poured the powder into a pot of boiling water for about 2 minutes while stirring, then poured out most of the water and still ahd a good amount of powder, then i just microwaved the rest of the shit cuz there was still a good amount of water in there, and now i'm left with just powder. not sure if this worked or not but if it didn't this would be a really high dose of gauf, it was like 13-15 pills .
 
so yes i was trying to extract the DXM, because the pills have 20mg dxm and 400mg gauf, and gauf is soluble in hot water.
 
So you're looking at six grams of guaifenesin if you take the pills. It's hard to give advice about guaif, because every body reacts to it differently. I took five grams of it last night and only got slight nausea that was relieved by a simple dose of Pepto Bismol. But others have taken less then one gram and experienced projectile vomit and churning stomach pain that ruined the trip. If you're a big guy with a fast metabolism, the pills would work. You could also make a saline solution to induce vomiting if your stomach begins to hurt too much. The pills also have more DXM in them.

But if you don't want to take the risk, I'd stick with the Equate.

yeah but, i did the extraction in the hot water which gauif is soluble in i'm just not 100% sure if it worked or not is there any way to tell? i downed a whole bottle of cough syrup before with gauif in it and felt nothing, i'm 6'1 and weigh about 130, i never gain any weight, very fast metabolism.
also, i have pepto bismol on hand in case.
 
No, there's not really a way to tell what the composition of the powder is unless you have specific lab equipment. Six grams of guaif isn't an especially large one, but it's not small, either. The worst-case scenario is that you vomit up the guiaf/DXM mixture and have a slightly less intense high afterwards. A normal 4 oz bottle of guaif cough syrup has 2.4 grams of guaif in it, so there's your starting point.

Also, you should know that there is a relatively strong afterglow involved with DXM. I took 500 mg of it last night and my eyes are still dilated.
 
alright i just mixed it in with some water, drank it all, had some sweet tea as a chaser. i'll come back in a few hours after everything happens.
 
Never snort DXM. It's always administered orally. I'm curious to see what the results are, so keep me posted!
 
Yeah anyone else wondering how he's getting on? Doesn't look like much fun stuff in that cough syrup! I'm no expert though.
 
He took some DXM/Guaifenesin pills, not the syrup. So he'll be fine.

And I think he extracted the DXM out of the pills.
 
alright, i ended up taking it with no effect whatsoever, unfortunately. i ended up with quite a bit of powder, or so i think, and i drank it with some water. my friend drank some cough syrup as well and when his trip was over i decided it wasn't going to affect me and went to sleep. apprently this method didn't work, i honestly have no idea what went wrong, but oh well. i do have a very interesting cough syrup story though i might post later (:
