Hi everyone, I'm fairly sure that this is a good spot for my thread as it is somewhat of a personal question but deals almost entirely with education.
I will keep this brief. For as long as I can remember (age 13 and on actually), I have had a profound interest in psychedelics and their potential for benefiting and increasing the well-being of humans. I've been struggling now for the past year or two in trying to find a program of study that would allow me to learn and implement my understanding of entheogenic plants in the real world (and hopefully earn a paycheck while I'm at it!). I realize that this is a very small subject (not to mention controversial) to pursue, but it's all i want to do. Currently I am taking courses in psychology, journalism, and computer science, but i'm not sure where to concentrate in order to be successful at this.
The organization M.A.P.S (multidisciplinary association for psychedelic studies) is an excellent inspiration for the kind of work I'd like to do. Even writing in periodicals or magazines promoting medical marijuana and the such would be greatly satisfying. So basically, I'm asking if any members in this forum work, or have careers dealing with these subjects. Any input, criticism or advice would be so greatly appreciated!!
thanks guys and girls, if there is a problem with this thread or the mods feel it is useless, feel free to delete but I know the members of this site are rich with information and experience so lemme 'ave it!
