Enjoy Opiates, Don't Enjoy Benzos?

Hi guys. My girlfriend seems to be in the minority of folks that enjoy opiates but do not find benzos to be recreational. I cannot really relate to this as I find great pleasure in both. So does anyone else feel the same way? If so, what do you dislike about benzos?
 
I feel exactly like her. With an opiate, you buzz and feel good. With a benzo your just a little outta wack, a zombie, no buzz.
 
I definately know what you sayin i dont really like that shit so much. sure ill do it if i got it. and get fucked up and thats all good. but its lackin something for me.

i aint sayin i dont like it, i liek to get fucked up, i like to get all woozy and shit and yea it can be fun to try and walk down to the store or wahtever when youre all xanny'd or valum'ed out. but i just keep thinking in the back of my mind how theres somethign else i could be enjoying alot more right now. its hard to put in words.
 
Benzo's make me sleep. I don't see them great recreationally. I still do them time to time but i would rather get any time of opiate anyday. I don't think she is a minority.
 
Benzos make you too sleepy for any fun. It's like trying to enjoi a dramamine trip; the torture of staying awake.

Then again I have limited experience, with only one real intoxication by benzos.

But I conclude that benzos are for meth crashes.

Benzos are a complimentary drug really.... i use em for stim comedowns or i might pop a xanax to combat the paranoia i sometimes get when smoking large amounts of cannabis. Great for insomnia too, but by themselves something seems to be lacking.
 
well at first I was like that. I think I was expecting some sort of opiate-like feeling from benzos and when i didn't get it I didn't like it. I really just felt tired and boring.
After time, however, I have changed my tune and I love benzos...love love love em.
 
I never take benzos alone, well i have, but i usually take them to come down or with drank

now Im in the minority amongst my friends who all prefer benzos over hydrocodone

we had a little question going around for a while that eventually got asked to like 100 people. would you rather have a million bars (xanax) or a billion hydrocodone. i was one of the only people to say hydro. bars are big in houston :\
 
it's easier to be productive while on opiates. benzos make it harder to think clearly. tasks that require a higher level of functioning become difficult while on benzos. with opiates, it is not as hard.
 
I feel the same way as your girlfriend. Benzos make me feel too tired and groggy.
 
I think one possible reason for that could be that she's used to the strong opiate euphoria, and is disappointed when benzos fail to deliver in the euphoria department.

same here.
i really enjoy my opiates. benzos on the other hand are boring and not recreational imo.
 
Depends for what effects you're looking I guess. I never tried benzo's alone but
everytime combo'd and they've given a complementary boost to any drug, far superior than alcohol - not really comparable but I used to drink alcohol to numb negative side effects from speed and benzo's are just so much better in doing this. alcohol+benzo's seem to go hand in hand and are a good downer base to build on - I don't like it too much without weed or uppers.. But much more fun than alcohol or benzo seperately.
I can def. see the addiction potential in benzo's.

There used to be a guy who posted in Bluelight who had a 1/2 gram diazepam habit.

I hope he has kicked that habit by now...
 
^^ negrogesic, if im not mistaken, was up to 250mg a day. he said if he would take 10mg less 10minutes after it was time he would go into terrible, terrible withdrawals.

and i must have read that months ago. he might have upped his dose since then.
 
He did say 250 mg. In that same post, he mentioned that he had considerably downsized his habit, and it had at one point been twice that dosage.
