Hey BL,
For some background, I have used K over the past year, starting with IV infusions (typically at doses of 130mg or 1.8mg/kg) then moving onto at-home rapid-dissolve tablets (at 600mg to make up for oral roa). I did around 8 infusions and a number of at-home treatements before deciding it wasn't really providing an antidepressent effect. Fast forward to today, and it's been about 5 months since I last did K and recently picked up some powder of decent quality with the intention to hole (not for theraputic purposes, of course).
One thing I remember about my IV infusions and some of my at-home sessions were the incredible visuals I would get within the K hole, sometimes seeing geometric surfaces, cascading beams of light, and other trippy, dissociative visuals. Towards the end of my at-home theraputic usage, and recently when doing a few large bumps of this new powder, while I would hole it would just be a black, jumbled mess. Visuals tended to be less clear and I'd not experience the same sense of 'going on a journey' out of my body.
I realize that this probably points to the very long tolerance that comes with ketamine usage (or I'm just dosing too low), and that some of that 'magic' may be lost for longer than I expected, but has anyone shared this experience? Is there a way to enhace the visual aspect of the hole even with simple things like the lighting of the room/eye mask?
Also, as a bonus question, I've noticed K has a bit more of a 'hangover' after effect rather than an 'afterglow' that typically consists of feeling like my nerve endings are full of TV static, a small "crash" in mood/energy and, for lack of a better word, feeling mentally retarded. Again, this might all be the result of gaining a tolerance or losing the magic to a degree, but if there are any potential remedies to these feelings (I find a small amount of cannabis helps after the comedown to ease some of the discomfort) I'd like to know your experiences!
(also please share your favorite music to listen to in the hole okay tysm goodbye)
