my team (spurs) beat sunderland 2-0 today, still in top 4, but we didnt really play well, maybe slightly undeserved however we get robbed last week by stoke after dominating all match so it evens itself out. Gomes made some amazing saves today.
You didn't get robbed by stoke. You just couldn't freakin well score. If you miss as many golden opportunities as you had, and then they take the only opportunity that they are given, thats not being robbed. It's playing like shit.
Anyway, I'm glad that Spurs are doing well I'm even gladder that Liverpool are playing shit, coz it means that this season we won't have to listen to all their bullshit about how they are going to win the league blah blah blah, then they collapse and die at the end of the season, they've already collapsed
I haven't been following this season as closely as I have other seasons. Been too busy, haven't had time to watch the games I'd recorded (and my fantasy team were doing CRAP!!!)
well yeah i was trying to hide the fact that last few games we've been really bad...dont even mention the arsenal match but lennon and modric returning soon, maybe we'll be able to keep up with the others, who knows.
you support fulham? ive always had a soft spot for fulham and roy hodgson is a great manager so I hope you do well this season, did well against liverpool the other week :D
i'm a chelsea fan, but before anyone starts shouting "frontrunner!" you should know that when i originally started watching the EPL, i didn't know much about the teams and just latched on to the team i was the most exposed to (i don't have one of them fancy dish machines so i only get the occasional game, nowadays though i'll stream or download the games). i'm american... so i had pretty much the decision between man u or chelsea... :D
i'm also drawn a bit towards aston villa. as a cleveland sports fan, i have a tie to them in randy lerner, who also owns my favorite NFL team, the cleveland browns. you might call me a man of color as i like the browns and blues.
anyhow, it's been a blast watching chelsea so far, drogba's looking in top form. his goal in the 90' against bolton was GORGEOUS all around. anelka with the chip pass, perfect chest by deco, off the heal of lampard, and finished off by drogba on the volley. THAT was sexy.
special... although drogba is a whining, diving, douche and should probably be shot
My allegiance changes year to year as I'm an Aussie and we don't have any teams in over there and it usually changes to who has the most/best Aussies in their team. I also tend to support whoever makes my fantasy team do the best, which is why I'm fucking glad that nancy boy Christiano Ronaldo has fucked off to Spain so I can stop supporting Man U
I've only really supported EPL for the past 4 years or so. I started out supporting Wigan as there is nothing in Wigan except for Rugby League, and I HATE rugby league (being a union supporter ) and was really glad that there was something else going on there.
I also support Everton (Timmy Cahill) Man City (before the oil billions) Villa, coz they're almost awesome, and I had a soft spot for Pompey before they absolutely tanked this season.
oh god...spurs won 9-1 today 9-1...fuck i couldnt get a stream during the match so i didnt get to see it live but i cant wait for the highlights tonight!
Yeah... 9-1... fricken ridiculous. I've only seen some minor highlights so I don't know what exactly went wrong with Wigan's defence... something drastic it seems. Jermaine Defoe is pretty damn good, but 5 goals in a game good? I wouldn't have picked that.
Defoe's second(?) goal that he hit on the volley in traffic was pretty awesome. So was Bentley's free-kick (I think they called it an own goal though).
Not many teams will take a thumping like that and still stay up at the end of the season.
as good as chelsea was against watford in the FA cup game last week, they've let their lead slide to 2 points while drogba, essien, kalou, and mikel are all off to the african nations cup. if you've watched chelsea at all this season you can see how drastically different they are without drogba alone, nonetheless, the four of them. sturridge had a good game and borini looked pretty solid a couple weeks ago (i think it may have been the fulham match, but it's been stretch so don't quote me on that). i'm not gonna lie, i'm not 100% convinced that chelsea can comfortably win without drogba in the line up.
Im a sunderland supporter. Havent won a game since beating arsenal about 3 months ago in the league. Cant change who ya support in england - its the ultimate crime
Doesnt get much better than beating Arsenal and Chelsea in the same week...Spurs are 4th now, 2 points ahead of man city...fates is in our own hands now
Watched the entire Manchester derby... was funny how the commentators were predicting that a draw wouldn't be enough, and if Chelsea beat Spurs then the title is effectively theirs! Then Scholes gets a free header in the box due to lax defending and Man U score in the last minute of time added on and it's a competition again.
Then Spurs beat Chelsea, and it's on again!
Can Chelsea hold on? Can Man Utd take some chances up front in their last couple of games and keep the pressure on? Will City get the final Champions League place? Can by some miracle Arsenal win the league (bwahahahahahha not gonna happen suckers!!) Are Hull and Burnley gone already?
Oh, and how many goals are Chelsea gonna put past Portsmouth in the FA Cup final!!?
