He told her that he loved her
That he really, truly cared
Then one day she realized
Their time could not be shared
She tried to make things easy
He tried to be her friend
She wants no part of that though,
Enemies in the end.
No longer together now,
She realized her fears
He caused a lot of pain
She shed a lot of tears
They both realized that they
Can't get along
But she's the one who's smiling
Now that he's gone.
