Misc Emsam(Selegliline)

Ive got to concurr 100% with magickalkat here.
Not having to pay attention to dietry restrictions isnt the same as taking SRA's.
The price for getting it wrong with MAO's is too high to risk, SS and NMS are no joke.
 
i agree. thing is i have heard of people taking selegiline for neuroprotective abilities and rolling. would not they risk serotonin syndrome?
 
It is an irreversible MAOB-I however you take it. Doesn't matter if you are taking the $0.10 pill, or the expensive Emscam patch. The thing is, some people have hypertension issues when mixing with stimulants and others don't.

I personally fall into the latter category, I've taken just about every stim under the sun (although not MDMA) while on selegiline, and not had hypertension issues. It also potentiates weed very well, I can smoke 2g over a week and stay moderately high the entire time.

Just seems to effect some people differently than others.

The way you do this safely is to start microdosing the stimulant, and slowly take the dose up until you get the desired effects without side effects. Check the BL wiki entry.
 
Shit does abilify or antipsychotics in general block emsam?


They block dopamine recepters. Doubt you'll feel much. It may stop/slow dopamine degradation but it can't work unless it binds to it's recepter.
 
still waiting for it to kick in. i am so depressed. i really hope this works. i decided against using mdma or methylone. i would have to wait for emsam to clear out for like 2 weeks. just not worth it. i just want to give the medication a fair shot.
 
crap. it has been 30 days on the 6mg patch and i dont feel ANYTHING. i just went up to 9mg to see if anything changes. i have found that lyrica doses before bed helps a lot. if emsam does not work i guess i will just do that.
