EMDT, DiPT, 2-Me-DET and 2-Me-DMT: The Auditory Effect

Oh! I remember that article. Looked very suspisious to me, including the methodology and some of Ray's conclusions. I'd be careful with conclusions from that one though :|

5HT4-activity was just an idea as I have recently seen 5-MeO-DiPT and derivates mentioned in connection with this receptor-subtype. Can't come up with more definite data and would appreciate some input.

Peace! - Murphy

I've had pretty substantial audio distortions on 4-AcO-DiPT. The other effects were much less prominent. The visual aspect wasn't anything beyond what i'd expect from just having dilated pupils, & mentally just a bit fuzzy. Never took it much beyond 35mg though, not sure what would happen at higher doses.

Also strange that these types of audio distortions seem exclusive to tryptamines. I've always had much stranger aural stuff happen with those as compared to PEAs. The latter are great music enhancers IMO, but the distortion/disruption common to tryptamines, particularly those mentioned here, is quite fascinating

Damn, I wish I still had DiPT, to try taking it after a 5-HT2A antagonist to eliminate the psychedelic effects. Wouldn't help figure out the receptor responsible, but it would at least remove any potential psychedelic distortions to get a clearer idea of the effect.

Wow, 2-Me-DMT can cause audial distortions? Sounds good. I definitely should acquire a sample of this drug.

Yep. Vision feels like a much more 'solid' sense - you can usually look at something as long as you need to figure out what it is, but you can't make a sound repeat.

I've noticed when listening to music or DJing while tripping that its very hard to focus in on one particular sound - as if it keeps wobbling and evaporating and going all fractal, just like visual lines do.

wow nuke, thats totally fascinating. i have yet to sample 2-Me-DMT, and i have often wondered exactly how potent its auditory effects are compared to DiPT. if anyone has tried both they should speak up, although its difficult to quantify these sorts of things.

How about the lowest dose at which auditory effects are produced compared to the lowest dose at which certain noticeable psychedelic effects are produced? Although the latter could still be hard to quantify still.

Anyway, 5-MeO-DiPT is apparently more psychedelic and by comparison less audio disturbing than DiPT so I wonder if any helpful SAR explanation would explain that... fitting with nuke's structural binding profile hypotheses?

Intriguing by the way, thanks a lot for the information <3
