Electric Zoo Returns With New Drug Policies In 2014

A better comparison would be if you said someone can die from drinking a glass of water, it is just quantum-physically unlikely. No one died before it was illegal, rc's or not.

As a harm reduction forum, the potential dangers of drugs need to be made clear.
In an overheated environment (like a rave), with too little - or too much - hydration, people have died as a result of taking MDMA.

Analogies have their place, but lets not sugarcoat things; that's as bad as the government propaganda that says every drug will kill you.
MDMA is illegal. Unregulated. It is not 100% safe and needs to be used with care and respect, for the sake of physical and mental health.
More people have died from MDMA complications than LSD; and LSD has at least a couple of decades on MDMA as a "recreational drug".

If a normal dose is 50-200mg then half a gram killing people seems like bullshit. Toxicity probably means some noticeable side effects in this case. I am sure sure I have done that much before, it was shit and lasted forever but I was not even close to death.

^ you may have done that much spread out over several hours, but a half gram in a single dose after dancing all weekend and being dehydrated is just ASKING for serious complications.

That's nearly 5 times a typical dose.

We are also talking about the middle of terrible NYC summer. I believe it was sunny, close to 90 and really humid that weekend. Ezoo has almost no shade coverage either so you are out there baking in the sun most of the time.

Basically, as usual, there was a whole load of other reasons which contributed to the unfortunate fatalities. But, lets be honest, who cares about that because it was all 'Molly the super-killer drugs fault!'

Death from MDMA is extremely unlikely, and probably far lower than numerous activities you wouldn't even think twice about doing (playing sport, drinking alcohol, getting in a car, horse riding). But a story about the football player that played football for 4 hours, didn't drink any water and ended up de-hydrating to death just doesn't sell like the first story. And, of course, in this instance it's different because it's not football's fault, it's the person for not drinking and playing for too long.

Sigh, media piss me off so much with their misinformed bullturd.

Probably just a direct MDMA death. A very very very rare % of the population may be in danger from an average dose of MDMA, IIRC females have slight differences in their reactions than males and are at a higher risk.

Not sure why though, or even if that is 100% true, I just happen to remember reading it somewhere (probably on here or Erowid).

Back in highschool, there was a party organized so a bunch of people could take MDMA the first time - laser lights, fog machine, a DJ booth, the whole works. In the end, all of guys ate a pill or two and kept going till 5 in the morning, the girls all ate a 1/2 decided they felt sick and left within the first two hours. Just something that came to mind reading your post. Since then I've definitely met chicks who can neck em with the best.
