been there in 2010, 2012, 2013. pretty wild place. at least half of the lineup is garbage every year though. the place is huge though, it litterally takes an hour and a half or more to walk from the back of the camping area, get through the gates, and all the way to sherwood court. seeing the dead was awesome. cheese was always surprising. i lost my ego and all my shit when the music stopped between cheese and bassnectar, ended up with a huge scar around my arm somehow while running around screaming that everyone was gonna die. the silent disco is dope, my friend popped a balloon while filling it during thriftworks and i felt like it was super obvious but no one even looked. i traded a cold beer for a purple microdot once. i was walking up and down the isles at like 5am all spun out and some old guy pointed me out from quite a ways away and told me to come over. so i walked over and hes like i made that shirt(my favorite dye, flower of life on my chest and honey comb stencil for the rest of the front) i was like really? somewhat in disbelieve, so im like oh yeah?how did you make the back? and he didnt even hesitate and explained it was airbrushed through a table doyle.. it was totally bazaar to me, he was from kalamazoo michigan. i have never seen so many sky lanterns as the last night of electric forest 2013. im not even going to start on the actual "forest" area... amazing.
3 sets of sts9 in 2012 was probably my favorite set out of all the years i went.
summerset is a complete shitshow, so many "rules" yet you can get away with anything if have the balls to try.
last year we didnt buy tickets and still saw every act we wanted to see plus more, plus both afterparties.
im super pumped for the smaller dubstep/glitchhop festival in the midwest that just released their lineup yesterday. i have been to the last 5 of those festivals.
i will not be going to ef this year though. just hitting up some smaller fests this year.
