Benzos Effect of diazepam on hangovers.

What effect does diazepam have on a hangover ? I'm not talking about the use of diazepam on people who are suffering from alcohol withdrawal , just your basic hangover?

oh and sorry if this is the wrong thread i wasn't sure where to put this.

A good hangover will make me nervous and sensitive to any action. Taking a small amount of Diazepam usually kills the shakes and all other hangover effects.

Such a perfectly evil cure...
 
i dont find benzos to help with hangovers. i just feel even more sedated and sometimes even more depressed. save the benzos for another day imo and smoke some weed instead...its 10xbetter for hangovers imo
 
It used to help me a lot. Benzos allow you to basically just sleep through a hangover. Even if you can't stay in bed, it will still kill the anxiety and restlessness.

However, like someone else said it is a perfectly evil cure. I wound up addicted to both alcohol and benzodiazepines and I don't really think there is any worse addiction.
 
I always find them to kill everything but the headache, but I agree that there are much better uses for them.
 
Diazepam relieves a lot of the negative symptoms but if you take too much you can feel pretty tired all day. Headache for me, like agram above, is one of the few effects it has little effect on.
 
I don't enjoy getting drunk without diazepam in the morning or at least just before I fall asleep (in terms of the hangover). It actually cures the hangover extremely well for me. 20mg usually does the trick.
 
Diazepam is the greatest hangover cure in my opinion. I always took one after a hard night of partying but I'm pretty tolerant to benzos so it didn't make me too tired. It just took away the jitters and the aches at 10mg. I didn't take more of that for a hangover because if I needed to get rid of a hangover some important shit was going on that day.
 
Benzos are GREAT for hangovers. I always used benzos for hangovers, even when opiates were available. Actually, opiates may be better for proper comedowns, like from uppers or ecstasy.

I agree, opiates are best really. But benzos take away that nasty nausea feeling I find.
 
I can live with headaches, its the nausea and fragile feeling i can't bare, and i can function better after 48 hours without sleep than i can when im hungover so i'll take tired willingly over hungover, cheers guys, I don't nomally drink but some times it's unavoidable (friends birthday etc) it's good to know it needn't mean two days of feeling like death afterwards
 
Drink a big glass of water at the end of drinking and drink as much as you can stomach in the morning.

Alcohol is a diuretic and your body is just dehydrated as hell. The headache is from not enough brain fluid.

So drink as much water as you can throughout the process to minimize hangovers.

No pills required! lol
 
Yeah, you should always drink as much water as you can stomach before you go to bed. When you wake up you won't even need to piss, your body just uses that shit and absorbs it.

Lots of water and 10-20mgs of Oxy does the trick....what a charm!!!! :)

And benzos are the devil incarnate.....poor 'ol heroin always cops all the crap in the media.....say NO to benzos!!!!
 
Just last night I was recovering from 2 days of vomit filled drinking, I took 20mg of Valium around 8 pm and it was beautiful. I put my phone on airplane mode, told my friends I wasnt going out, and just rolled around in my bed until all the symptoms went away.

I def recommend a strong benzo after an intense night of drinking, especially if you wake up on the 4th floor hallway of your apt. building in the middle of the night when you live on floor 2 haha.
