I've been really interested in the electronic music scene since way back in the day when it wasn't so popular. I remember hearing my first dubstep song (actual dubstep, mostly low bass frequency, not like skrillex and such) and was amazed at the awesome amount of emotion it could create and the chills it could give me. Anyway, a year or two after delving into this music and getting really familiar with it, I met somebody with gloves and was blown away by it. It's one hell of an art medium in my opinion, and since then I've gotten really into it. Are there any fellow glovers here on bluelight? If so, are you well practiced? What set do you have?
My apologies if this is in the wrong forum, but it seems to be connected directly to EDM so I was curious if anyone else has given it a go or is interested in it!

i love both gloving and edm (dubstep included). been to quite a few massives, but usually go to the same one every year(great venue and vibes, unfortunately b/c of monetary reasons i have to miss it this year). as far as being practiced, i dont just flail and figure 8 i can do quite a few basic moves but im fairly out of practice these days (cant compete with some of the newer glovers, used to be all pro like everyone on emazing lights but they're getting better and ive lost some skill) as far as my set its a creation of my own from many different types of strobes but i prefer strobes to anything else. :)

Geez only one guy! Well that's cool at least. Sounds like you probably give a decent light show at least, hate those flailers haha (even though they do make guys like us look really good at raves).

I had a guy give me a really good light show while I was wearing prism eyes and it was one of the most wilds things I have ever seen....

lol flailing arms and figure 8s. I love to glove and I go to a show almost every weekend. kinda new to bluelight and seen this, make me feel good. currently I don't have a glove set because I always take my lights apart and manage to fuck them up lol. but my first glove set was the Crayola glove set, and my second set was the fireworks glove set. Im looking at getting a pair of oracles or matrix's now, but not sure if I wanna get pod poi first lol. Im decent at gloving haven't been gloving as much the last 2 months cus iv been getting deeper into poi.

My brothers a comitted glover and practices like an hour a day. I love a good show when your rollin or just at a show.

I want to learn poi but haven't really had time for hobbies lately.

Also i feel there is a lot of people getting gloves and branded gear to have the glovrr look. If yoir gonna rep it put the time in to actually glove.

I believe I had some of the first gloves every I started in 01' and the only available light where micro photons and they we're around 20-30 dollars each but had a life time guarantee but that does help if you lose them lol. Any ways they where originally one option on then they came out with ones with . Modes anyways I would put the slide them in white gloves for liquid dancing then would go to town with the ability to turn on/off individual lights at will during the show I also love nunchuck style glowsticking and dancing with lights I used to attend underground raves for 11 years now
