I just got my tongue pierced and will be rolling this weekend. For obvious reasons, I would prefer NOT to end up chewing on my tongue all night long. Anyone have any tips on how to mitigate the teeth grinding/oral fixation effects of E?

I apologize if this should have been posted in the Health forum... I'm not sure if this counted as a health question or not so thought I'd play it safe ;)

chew some gum. or if you want to look stupid you can use a pacifier aka "bickie"

I did the same, rolled 2 days after I got my tongue pierced and I found just chewing gum was fine.
But the thing to watch out for, the E hit me ALOT harder and faster than I had expected and I assume this is because of the un-healed hole in my tongue.
So yeah just be aware that the effects may hit you harder than they normally would.

Take plenty of magnesium before you roll.

It help muscle tension and reduces the amount of chewing you do dramatically. Sounds strange but give it a go. I guarantee you'll never look back.

From other threads on the subject (which i cant be bothered finding a link for... do a search) most people in australia seem to use blackmores BIO Magnesium. I take 4 a few hours before going out. Does miracles

:D

I don't know how long ago you got your tongue pierced, but mine healed in three days. After which time I played with it non-stop without hurting it.

Thanks a bunch :) I'll definately chew some gum (why I never thought of that myself...) and try the magnesium.

I got it pierced awhile ago, so hopefully even a bit of playing should be okay. I've never taken E before, so I didn't know what to expect. I have horrible, unrealistic visions in my head of gleefully ripping it out of my tongue and laughing like a psychopath the whole time ;)

i rolled about 5 days after i got mine done & although scared of the same situation, it was fun as hell to play with, and game me no problems whatsoever

have fun man

Your tongue piercing could not have healed in 3 days thats not right at all. The balls & rod adjusted in your mouth and it got used to it being there. It takes 4-6 months for a tongue ring to fully heal.

Just grab a stick of gum and try to becareful because grindin on your tongue ring wont be a good idea at all especially when you wake up the next morning with your teeth hurting like hell.

Ive never had my tongue peirced so i cant say. but you should watch out that it doesnt get infected even though its in your mouth(saliva promotes healing) e still does give your immune system a thrashing.

Not at all true. Tongue piercings are through connective tissue, which heals wicked fast. After a week you can play with it fully. At three weeks you stop disinfecting it, and at six weeks it's fully healed.

i would be extra care if i were you, i was gunna get my tongue done but i didnt because of the fact that if i get some e's I'll chew it like fuck. I got my lip done instead!

I would keep on disinfecting it for way longer than 3 weeks, u don't want to end up with no tongue :P

just suck on lolly pops
they are wicked for stopping chewing of the mouth and tongue
and they taste well good
buy loads so you can give them out and make new friends too
I love doing that
