ecstasy interview

Q. Roughly, about how many times have you taken ecstasy?

Tough to say, lost count looong time ago...took at least twice a week for about 3 years and been on/off it for another 10, so take a guess

Q.What are your views on the legality of ecstasy, should it be legal/illegal. or only for therapeutic purposes?

100% Legal...the drug will stop working if you abuse it, so then you won't. Also, if it were possible to overdose on clean mdma, I'd be dead. And alcohol is legal...WTF!?

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?

So happy thought I was going to cry...lol

Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?

HUGELY...the media played a major role in mdma being scheduled by fueling the fire

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?

Of course...it's an empathogen/entactogen

Q. do you think the risk of taking ecstacy is worth the reward?

Absolutely...minimal risk vs huge reward

Q. Do you still use ecstasy till this day?

Yes

Q. Are you involved with the Culture that goes along with ecstasy? Raves,Clubbing ect..

Not as much as in the past, but still hittin it to a degree

Q. if you have been involved with the ecstasy culture for a while, have you noticed any change in the culture over the years?

Hard to say cause not in scene as heavily, so seems different, but could be me. Location makes a difference. If you go somewhere (which there may be nowhere at this point) where the culture is still in it's infancy, it would be fantastic. Very uplifting being with a virgin roller or with those new to rolling. Years ago, Guiliani's "quality of life campaign" in NYC dealt the culture here quite a death blow IMO.

About 8-9

Q.What are your views on the legality of ecstasy, should it be legal/illegal. or only for therapeutic purposes?
It needs to be made legal for the same reason all drugs need to be made legal - prohibition solves nothing and creates a myriad of problems.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?
Not too sure because I started off with pills which may or may not have had MDMA in them. First time on MDMA crystals was fantastic; I feel like everytime I use is better because I know what company to keep, what music to put on, what goes wel and what goes badly with a roll basically.

Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?
No shit!

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?
Of course, I think the most useful aspect of MDMA is to a) help people overcome social anxiety and b) help people connect and talk to each other without holding opinions back etc.

Q. do you think the risk of taking ecstacy is worth the reward?
Yes.

Q. Do you still use ecstasy till this day?
Yes.

Q. Are you involved with the Culture that goes along with ecstasy? Raves,Clubbing ect..
Not particularly

Q. if you have been involved with the ecstasy culture for a while, have you noticed any change in the culture over the years?
Can't really answer that - I would say that it seems the early '90s scene of raving, pure love and energy seems to have died down a bit.

Q.What are your views on the legality of ecstasy, should it be legal/illegal. or only for therapeutic purposes?
illegal wtf? seriously there is nothing wrong with taking ecstasy if not abused. So why have it be illegal when it can help PTSD patients, marriage troubles, social problems, therapy of all sorts man, maybe it just needs to be on prescription hehe
Q. What was your first experience on ecstasy like?
A BLAST didnt even realize I was on it, cause honestly I didnt really care because I was having such a good time, i mean i remembered I was on it but I pushed the thought I was on a drug out of my mind and thought funny shit ^^, orgasmic to the BONE BABY! running through fields and tripping hard :D
Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?
HELL YES, ive talked about my use with ecstasy with past friends(ones that are friends anymore but thats unrelated) and they said "OMG IT PUTS HOLES IN YOUR BRAIN" im like stfuuuuu, then they go on to tell me about that fucking stupid health class in highschool, im like dont you think I know more about this shit then you? Ive had health class in my time too idiots... bunch of abusers that had a study done about them pfff not to mention a lot of it is propaganda from the US govt

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?
OH definitely!!! people use it for social uses all the time :)

Q. do you think the risk of taking ecstasy is worth the reward?
YES! I will never regret taking any drug I've ever done or will do because of one reason: I do research the drug before consumption or snorting or inhaling(i dont plug or inject) for a very long time and get a good feel for this drug and its background, its health risks etc, so far Ive had no bad health issues from doing ANY possibly harmful recreational drugs and its been 3 years ;)

Q. Do you still use ecstasy till this day?
Yes, when I can test a positive on mdma ............
Q. Are you involved with the Culture that goes along with ecstasy?
No unfortunately not, id prolly get more chicks that way xDDDD
Q. if you have been involved with the ecstasy culture for a while, have you noticed any change in the culture over the years?
I wish I could answer

Q. Roughly, about how many times have you taken ecstasy?

Over 20 times

Q. What are your views on the legality of ecstasy, should it be legal/illegal. or only for therapeutic purposes?

MDMA was recently made legal for the treatment of war veterans. It is given in therapeutic doses, that happen to be over 100mg, which I'm not so sure I do agree with.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?

I felt the pure happiness and satisfaction of life that I used to have again.

Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?

MDMA, yes. Ecstasy, no. Ecstasy is cut with different things that often make the experience more dangerous. When taken without caution and in a public place such as a rave, it is in my opinion very dangerous. Pure MDMA has little to no overdose possibility.

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?

MDMA does provide a connection feeling with whoever you're with, so yes, I'd say it is the ideal social drug.

Q. Do you think the risk of taking ecstacy is worth the reward?

That is up to whoever is taking it. I could never tell someone to do something like that because it's worth it.

Q. Do you still use ecstasy till this day?

No.

Q. Are you involved with the Culture that goes along with ecstasy? Raves,Clubbing ect..

Definitely not.

Q. if you have been involved with the ecstasy culture for a while, have you noticed any change in the culture over the years?

I have not been around those kinds of users.

Q. Roughly, about how many times have you taken ecstasy?

A. Around 20 times.

Q.What are your views on the legality of ecstasy, should it be legal/illegal. or only for therapeutic purposes?

A. I think it should be illegal. Although I will say it has therapeutic purposes; absolutely.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecstasy like?

A. Bliss. There are not enough adjectives in the english vocabulary to describe how amazing and magical it felt my first time.

Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?

A. Yes. Greatly. Although I will admit that there are not enough educated users (in my opinion) out there as it is and i dont want to imagine what it would be like if people had the general perception that it is a safe drug to take. In my opinion it is the greatest chemical in the world and should be treated with great respect.

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?

A. Yes of course. There is a high social use for MDMA.

Q. do you think the risk of taking ecstacy is worth the reward?

A. I think that if you are educated and you really know what youre doing. Then yes; absolutely. I can honestly say, that the best times of my life have been while I was under the influence of ecstasy.

Q. Do you still use ecstasy till this day?

A. Yes.

Q. Are you involved with the Culture that goes along with ecstasy? Raves,Clubbing ect..

A. Yes I am.

Q. if you have been involved with the ecstasy culture for a while, have you noticed any change in the culture over the years?

A. Yes, a rise in population of younger users. This is not to my liking personally. But since I had my first experience with the culture that goes almost hand in hand with ecstasy. I have noticed more and more younger users. I do not like it, but I will admit I have noticed.

I enjoyed responding to those questions.

Q. Do you feel you need to be under the influence of ecstasy to have a good time at a rave?

A. No, I have thought to myself a few times at a good rave (one which i felt a particularly natural "high") about not taking any drugs and just enjoying it sober. But I will admit that I have never stayed sober at a rave. Mostly because my view on the situation is: raves are the time and place imo, to take ecstasy; to miss the opportunity would be a waste (of money, tickets are not cheap) and to roll not a rave is usually greatly under utilizing the potential of the drug.

Q. Do you take ecstasy everytime you attend a rave?

A. I have so far. I paid a lot of money for a ticket to provide me with loud music, and professional/ high quality lights.

Q. Has using ecstasy changed your outlook on life?

A. Yes, I try my best to live everyday as if I am rolling. I mean I try to have a positive outlook and to really do to others as I would have them do to me. I will admit it doesnt always work out that way, but I really try.

Q. Has ecstasy caused more positive or negative experiences in your life?

A. Positive, with out a doubt.

Q. what is your view on the rave culture?

A. Needs to be 18+, no exceptions.

Q. do you think people take ecstasy for the wrong reasons?

A. I think they are un-educated. You cant have a bad day and take some ecstasy with the expectation of it making you feel better. I think people need to educate themselves about ecstasy. There is a time and a place to take the drug. Most people (myself included) learn the hard way that you can not take ecstasy everyday, and that it is not the "magic happy pill." People should get the known facts about MDMA, what it does, and why it does it at least. That way they can learn when the time and place to take the drug is (may vary with individual.)

Q. Roughly, about how many times have you taken ecstasy?

A. Lost count a long time ago...but it's been around once every month or two for the past 6 years (with a few breaks here and there).

Q.What are your views on the legality of ecstasy, should it be legal/illegal. or only for therapeutic purposes?

A. Well, for my purposes I wish it were legal. That way I know exactly what I'm getting and can deal with professionals instead of some of the shady people I have dealt with in the past. That being said, not everyone intends to use ecstasy as I do and therefore, it should remain illegal. That, or at least be available to patients who would benefit from therapy with it.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?

A. Completely impulsive. Spent the entire night trying to get a costume ready for my first ever college party. Then my girlfriend said, "Would you like to go to a real party? Wanna roll?" I had no idea what that was, but I trusted my friend and took the pill she handed me without hesitation. Got to her friend's house party where there were about 10 people already rolling. They approached me and squeezed my shoulder and said, "Aw, lucky...it's your first time, you're in for a treat."

Then I freaked out for a second. I thought I was going to be in trouble if I was left alone with anyone....like touched inappropriately or whatever. (And my bf at the time was against drugs and I had sent him a message saying, "So I think I just took ecstasy..." He was pissed) But my roll kicked in and I let go of all my inhibitions and just stopped being so uptight. I learned a lot about myself that night...I do think it changed my personality a little bit. It was a crazy party though, vibrating beds, light shows....I was blown away by these super cool people who took me in, no questions asked, to their roll family.

It's been my mission, if you could call it that, to do the same for any noob who wants to try it. As in, we'll invite all of our roll family who can make it, and throw a party in the noob's honor. We go all out and make sure that they don't regret their decision to try such a beautiful drug.

Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?

A. Yes, don't they exaggerate many things?

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?

A. Definitely. I mean, I'm still working on being more social and stepping out of my comfort zone...but man, I used to be so much worse. I was pretty much a loner, and was fine with it. But ecstasy helped me become more comfortable with myself, and gave me an insane amount of confidence. I remember calling my Dad the next day after I tried it, and he just said, "Oh Bee (that's my nickname), I am so happy for you." It's a social drug for sure, I think it disables filters and barriers people put up and in most cases, this is a beautiful thing to witness happening for the first time. I <3 noobs!

Q. do you think the risk of taking ecstacy is worth the reward?

A. I can't speak for everyone....but in my case, I wouldn't change a thing. The juice is definitely worth the squeeze. You just have to remember moderation!

Q. Do you still use ecstasy till this day?

A. Yes, I do! I'm still going about once every month or two or three, depending on responsibilities and friend's schedules, etc.

Q. Are you involved with the Culture that goes along with ecstasy? Raves,Clubbing ect..

A. I'm not big into clubbing. I always regret going to clubs, and never roll at them. They just don't have the same vibe. But I am into raves! I've been using ecstasy for 6 years now (come this Halloween) and my first rave was Nocturnal two years ago. So I've been much more comfortable with house rolls, especially because I love hosting...Raves are insane. I still walk around them like "How is this happening right now?!?!"

Q. if you have been involved with the ecstasy culture for a while, have you noticed any change in the culture over the years?

A. I've spent most of my time throwing house parties for friends of friends who want to try it in a safe environment. So in my experience, I haven't noticed much change really. But since I've started going to events, like massives, I have noticed a younger crowd. It's really sad to see. At a massive I went to in June, there was a young girl (16 maybe) wearing next to nothing who offered me speedballs. I didn't know what that was until I looked it up at home. Ugh. I truly felt bad for that girl. Idk, it seems people at raves now are more there to get super fucked up instead of being there for the music, PLUR, etc. Eh, house parties ftw! And 18+ ftw, sorry kiddies!

I hope I didn't write too much, it was super fun to answer your questions.
