hello guys and girls. im doing a report on the culture of ecstasy and need to interview some one for a part of it. i thought i would come here and if anyone is willing to help me out im just going to ask a couple questions. please this is 20 percent of my final grade and i would appreciate it alot if you can do it as quickly as possible. thanks alot, if this is against the rules or in the wrong place then please MODS just let me know.

-30ish

-I'd love for it it to be completely legal and available at your local drug store, however there would need to be a little more control of it's sale than there is of alcohol.. like, make sure people that buy it are given complete unbiased information to its real potential dangers, as well as just other basic information.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?
-it was beautiful. i never knew the world could feel that perfect. everything looked about the same as it always had, but just more wonderful. i felt much more connected to my friends that were around me

Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?
-yes x1000. Every few years the horror story comes out, the recent one was at EDC LA. And an unfortunately large population of people (including some users) still believe it literally drills holes in your brain, despite this being disproved years ago

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?
-yessir

Q. do you think the risk of taking ecstacy is worth the reward?
- from what we know so far about it and from the experiences of people using for a long time, yes

Q. Do you still use ecstasy till this day?
-yep.. been about 2 months, I think my next roll should be comin soon ;)

-somewhat.. definite believer in PLUR, but not a huge club goer

Q. if you have been involved with the ecstasy culture for a while, have you noticed any change in the culture over the years?
-haven't been a part of it long enough

ehh, its tough to answer this. i feel like although ecstasy has benefits that legal substances do not have, it also has risks that legal substances do not have. i am going to have to say no although i acknowledge there is an argument for it.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?

incredible. did it with two friends, and it was by far the closest i have ever felt to ANYBODY. i also feel like that experience by itself has impacted my life in a positive way.


Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?

definitly. ecstasy has little overdose potential, and the media makes it seem like people OD on it all the time when in reality people that die while rolling are usually on other substances as well. and it does NOT makes "holes" in your brain!

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?

yes i do. personally, i am more of a shy person, so i dont go out and meet random people while rolling. however, i have gotten to know friends much better while on ecstasy.

Q. do you think the risk of taking ecstacy is worth the reward?

i dont think so. i had some issues after my last experience with ecstasy, but it is not because of the drug but more because of my irresponsibility in terms of waiting in between usage.

yes

thanks guys! this is for my literature class. we have to do a report on a sub-culture and obviously i chose the drug culture of ecstasy. we also need to include an interview. more are welcome :)

Legal, its pretty safe and most people have a positive experience. Its not addictive.

I'd say so. The media is a poor source of drug education.

Best party drug ever. Alcohol is aight, but mdma is godlike. You can talk to anyone and no matter what you enjoy yourself. Its awesome for meeting new people.

Yes, at least at this point in my life.

Yes.

Raves are fun. Not into the candy, but I like the edm. I've always loved music a lot.

Not very long.
 
1. lost count really. was on it hard for close to 4 years, rolled every weekend pretty much on friday and saturday nights and sometimes sunday. usually took 3-5 each night so deduce your own numbers lol

2. this is a touchy subject. if i knew everyone would use it in the correct manner i would say hell yes legalize it. but when you have people, such as myself, who dont know better or dont care about it and abuse it, then i say no. so im still up in the air about it.

3. best feeling in the world. opened my brain to new heights. but also got me on the path to taking it every weekend.

4. yes the media blows it out of proportion. the only time i have heard of anyone dying is from overheating their brains. be it taking a shit load in a short time, going to the club and dancing and drinking alcohol and no water, what have you. all the deaths seem like the people didnt know what they were doing, they were uneducated and had friends that didnt know.

5. yes yes and yes. this is most definitely a social drug. i have taken rolls once by myself and i never will again, even if i have to hang out with people who arent rolling. i didnt freak out or anything i just quickly became bored and didnt blow up that hard bc the environment sucked.

6. if used in moderation yes it is very much worth it.

7. once in a blue moon, when i get a wild hair up my ass. i have a kid now so i dont party hardly ever. but when my mother keeps her for the weekend, if me and my wife and friends are feeling it, we will. no more than twice a year though at best.

8. out of all the years that i have taken beans, i have never been to a rave, a massive, or even a club while rolling (no techno clubs where i live). i have been to rave parties at people's houses but thats about as far as i went, for the simple reason of there are no raves anywhere near where i live, within driving distance.

9. i cant say for the raves and techno clubs and such, but as for the community yes i have seen a change. most of my friends who rolled have all stopped doing so and have, for lack of a better term, grown up. also, the quality of pills is at an all time low in my opinion.

It should stay illegal to distribute, but possession should be decriminalized. I think this because a lot of people have problems with self restraint and will abuse MDMA if it's made legal; at the same time however I don't think we need more people being thrown into jail for possession of a few pills.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?
The parts that I remember were great (I took too high of a dose so I don't remember about half of it). I felt so at peace, all of my normal anxiety was just swept away.

Greatly.

Definitely.

I don't think it'll ever be legal because of the the wrong things that get said about it, but it should be for therapeutic use.

It was with my best friends. It wasn't my best roll, but it was an experience. The day went by so quick.

Positive, by a lot.

I love the music & general open-ness, but I dislike how a lot of ravers are only there for the drugs.

I think that the reward for not abusing it is well worth the risk, if the proper precautions are taken, the risk is greatly reduced..

I don't see it ever becoming legal because of all the potential abuse. As someone who doesn't abuse it, it would be nice but I could see it wrecking other people. I'd say in extreme cases, it should be legalized for therapeutic uses (thats what it was mainly for originally anyways)

the best thing ever. I never realized such a small pill could make me so happy.

Of course, they never factor in dirty pills vs clean pills. Everything whether it be pure mdma vs pipes or someone who abused it (im exaggerating), they just throw all cases into one category and skew the truth or the reality of the drug.

There is no risk if you play by the rules (Get a test kit, know what youre taking, live a healthy life style, don't abuse the drug etc etc).

yezzir but only to an extent. I don't wear a shit ton of candy or chew on a binky or wear flamboyant clothing but I am extremely into electronic music and I enjoy giving people light shows and stuff.
I also never wear candy and shit in public....

definitely. I got into the scene riiiight before it blew up and grew really mainstream (deadmau5 on mtv, everyone attending edc w/o knowing any of the artists), and it was very different. Everyone was more about the music and the "rave" culture. Way more friendly and a lot more trust among everyone. By trust I mean, Security at raves were wayy more relaxed then Ive seen now, nobody was dying etc.
NOW, i can say more then half the kids that go to raves go just to roll but have no idea who's playing and what raving is all about. It puts a bad name on the scene in general. Its gotten to the point where ecstasy is blamed when its really immature/ignorant people that ruin it for others.

Q. Do you feel you need to be under the influence of ecstasy to have a good time at a rave?

I personally say yes, but if it realllly came down to it, i could go sober. The whole raving scene started from e so of course being on it will make it THAT much better. you don't see people at a rap concert running around wtih glow sticks and vicks....and there definitely is less visual pleasure and what not at different concerts. Raves are meant to enhance the experience on X.

pretty much...i've done acid once, was fun but not as fun.

Yes. I hope i can say that it's made me a nicer person/appreciate more things in life like my friends and family and even things i don't like, like going to school and shit like that.

It's something fun but should be kept at raves. I think its dumb when people walk around decked out in candy for no reason. Other non-ravers don't see it as "Hey, I'm into raving which means i like the music , culture, etc etc", instead they see "I LOVE ECSTASY!!!!" Whether you want to accept it or not, people judge books by the cover all day long and even if you try ostracize yourself to prove a point, in the end it doesn't do much to help.

Yeah, but you can say that about almost every thing.

Well i think there is So much use for it Therapeuticly. It is very strong and should be done responsabul so I don't belive it should be so legal you could get it OTC but Yes a Dr should be able to use it to help People.

It was So Amazeing.... Me and my hubby conected like never befor, the feelings were real and lasted long long after the hi went away. I was scared at first, then i was just in love.

Yes i do. they have miss informed millions of ppl and should be responsabul for fixing that. I was so missinformed b4 I found Bluelight. Now i have the knolage and confidence to prossede responsably

Oh very much so. that is truly what it is all about... You see drunks and tweekers fighting and steeling and hurting people all the time... People who are RESPONSABUL with MDMA don't do those kind of things

MOST defently since the RISK is VERY low if you are responsabul about it! If you are an adult and test and don't drive and once again VERY RESPONSABUL about how you use then the Rewards FAR out waigh any Risk involved

I wish i had some "this day" lol! Yes for sure.... only every 3 to 6 months but that will not stop!

Was back in the day... 10yrs ago lol! And i still love it and have a ton of friends that Rave, and they HAVE to tell me all about it every time! I love to hear all about it and see the pics! but it's more of a personal /intament experiance for me now

It does seem to be alil more clowded now. But it's a new generation taking over and that is the way of everything... It's evolution at it's finest

Manufacturing and trafficking of MDMA should stay illegal in my opinion. If it was made legal then more people would make/sell it. More of them means more cut in our product. Possession of the substance should be decriminalized (as long as its under a certain amount where if you go over it, its trafficking). Driving and other activities such as this should still remain illegal while under the influence.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?
It was by far the most enlightening experience ever. I found out so many things about myself and the universe, it really changed my entire life.

Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?
Yes. There have been deaths at raves and such but these are all from overdosing, dehydration, too much hydration, etc. There is nothing wrong with MDMA when taken at the correct dose.

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?
For sure. Me and my buddies would always do MDMA together. We always had what we call "pure talks" which is basically when we sit there and talk about really really important things in life that wouldn't normally come out while sober.

Q. do you think the risk of taking ecstacy is worth the reward?
Absolutely. As long as its taken responsibly and the user it not taking extra just to get "extra fucked up" then I see no problems with (very infrequent) MDMA use

No. I didn't use MDMA responsibly. Eventually it wasn't about the amazing experience it was more about getting fucked up, which lead me into a terrible MDMA addiction.

It should not be readily accessible to the public but it should not be in the Schedule 1 drug class and be more of an option for use by psychotherapists. The laws regarding possession are ridiculous.

Unimaginably empathetic. My heart was so full. All self-consciousness dissolved.

I was one of those who was completely fooled until I stumbled across bluelight last month! Unbelievable amount of propaganda circulating everywhere in the media about ecstasy.

No doubt whatsoever.

Yes. I have 2 more months until I try it again. Safe usage of tested pills with supplementation!

40ish

Q.What are your views on the legality of ecstasy, should it be legal/illegal. or only for therapeutic purposes?
In my perfect world, It would be available in the same way alcohol is. You'd be able to go to your local distributor and get it along with a TRUTHFUL pamphlet outlining the risks. Too bad thats probably never going to happen. I do feel that it should at least be available via psychiatrists for therapy use. It has so many potential benefits.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like?
AMAZING!!! It opened my eyes to the true beauty of the world. It allowed me to see the good in everyone. Up on till I started take ecstasy I was very shy. I whole heartedly attribute MDMA to helping my come out of my shell a little. I still suffer from social anxiety but I feel MDMA has helped me immensely.

Q. Do you think the media has exaggerated the risks of MDMA use?
Yes, yes and again yes. They have over sensationalized the risks 1000 fold. It does not put holes in your brain. It does not drain spinal fluid. This one rots me the most, the media saying it turns people into raging horny sluts. This just isn't true, when we say we're "loved up" we don't mean we wanna fuck every one! Their have been some deaths but most of those were due to polydrug use.

Q. Do you think there is a social use for MDMA?
Yes there is!! I feel if everyone could take a hit of X the world would be a better place. Hell, we need to get officials from Israeli and officials from the Gaza Strip to sit down and roll together. In my opinion, thats a 8hr cure for the conflict going on over there.

Yes I do. I have learned so much about myself, other people, and the world around me. It has allowed me to see the beauty that resides in all of up.

Yes I do, however I am cutting back.

I am involved in clubbing, after hours rave clubs, and the after party scene. There are no proper raves were I live. If there were I would be involved in the rave scene.

I cannot answer this question as I've only been involved in the scene for around 10 months.

Q.What are your views on the legality of ecstasy, should it be legal/illegal. or only for therapeutic purposes? I think it should be used for therapeutic purposes, especially for depression and for marriage counseling.

Q. What was your first expereince on ecsasy like? It was absolutely amazing. It allowed my husband (who was my boyfriend at the time) to be completely open with me for the first time and allowed us both to see things clearly. Ecstasy saved our relationship, it was a night that changed our lives for the better.
