ecstasy has made my girlfriend look butt ugly in the dark :(

hey guys, long time roller first time poster :) i have rolled for a long time and have never had a bad experience off ecstasy. its a fantastic drug and has changed my life for the better. unfortunatly the same does not go for my girlfriend, she always spews (even if only one pill and sometimes half) and always feels sick at some stage regardless of how the rest of us have been hit.

im assuming her body doesent agree with the drug or she is alot more sensitive to the chemicals but i dont let her do it very often becaues of that. but now comes the scary part, the other night we were rolling together at my house, we were havin a great time and one of my mates rang up to say he was coming around. we went out the front in the dark and sat on the road. i looked over at her and my heart stopped, I ACTUALLY SCREAMED LIKE A GIRL! i thought i was sitting next to a totally different person! her face was completly changed! in real life she is a model - she is extremly attractive! but fuck me dead she dead set looked like a cross between michael jackson, and one of them apes off planet of the apes. but her eyes were really dark and her lips were really dark and the rest of her skin was white as anything. HER HAIR EVEN LOOKED LIKE DUDES HAIR!! (but that could be cos it was tied back) either way i was scared, no matter how long or close or far away i looked at her she still looked the same - THIS WAS NO HALUCINATION! i took her to the light, as soon as she entered the light she was normal - same beutiful girl. i took her back to the dark, APEGIRL AFTER PLASTIC SURGERY WAS BACK!

i feel terrible i think i have hurt her with my reaction, i have to admit it would have been priceless to see though. what im here to ask thouhg is what could have possibly caused something like this!! i really just have no explanation at all, i cant imagine that being a halucination, theres no way it was! i've been trippin for 4 years and never seen anything like this! can someone please enlighten me? im confused as anything!
 
that sounds like a hallucination to me. you were on E...and not only were you on e but you were in the dark, where hallucinations are usualy most vivid. i dunno...if you were sober and saw her in the dark, and thought she looked ape-like, thats one thing. but you were rolling, and hallucinating off of illz isnt unlikely. i've hallucinated more vividly in the dark on e than i have off of acid. the dark just adds shadows and contour that the light usually wouldnt.
 
this has nopthing to do with ecstasy, and when I am am rolling I never had cared about ones appearance. Have you ever seen the episode of sienfeld where he dates a girl that looks ugly in the dark and pretty in light. I guess darkness just isn't flattering for some peoples facial features. Simple as that

around what dosage are you taking to be hallucinating? I think that maybe something else in a pill is the cause of hallucinations not MDMA.
 
yeah man, hallucinations while rolling aren't always the best, I've experienced the same thing but not to that extent or with my girlfriend, but a chick I was talking to as my pill was coming on once started to look like those women off the devils advocate... freaky
 
Maybe she was rolling heaps hard, people can look sometimes look ugly when there gurning and have one eye more open than the other ect. But people can look better when there rolling to.
 
hahaa oh man. This happend to me while back when I was on 3 dolphins. Hot ass girl was sitting on my lap talking to me. I was into it then I look up all of a sudden. Her face looked like she was a 400 lb chick no lie. She looked so fat and completely different I freaked the fuck out dude.

It was scary as shit.
 
been there done that....if yall remember that movie beatlejuice....the part when they are decrepit old looking...i saw my girl like that when on some good mda.

just go with it man and it wont be so bad
 
Hahaha reminds me of that Seinfeld episode.

Nothing is worse than looking at your girl while shrooming though, it suprises me on how sex is actually good while tripping.
 
I used to see really bizzare facial distortions when I rolled. They were usually more prevalent in dark areas and when I would exceed 6 or 7 pills in a rather small time frame. Last year I remember taking 6 or 7 of those blue hitchhikers at a party and it seemed as everyone had on gold-framed reading glasses!!! I've even read posts on this board about people also seeing glasses on everyone after taking a large amount of MDMA. I also remember that if I stared long enough at someones face, their entire face would morph into like a menacing creature. Good times.

In other words, he probably just noticed that his girlfriend is a
shallow bitch and his brain interpreted that realization as an "ugly"
outward appearance.

Just a theory of course since I don't know any of the people in
question.

i also had a friend who was laying on the couch, and whenever i looked at him he had white hair and a yellow curly beak....it was the craziest shit, but it was funny as hell cus my friends were laughing at my facial expressions everytime i looked at him.
 
Yea, sounds like you had a little MDA. If the body buzz didn't seem as good as it usually does then I'm certain it was that. I've had times where I was chilling in my basement with very little light and all sorts of shadowy figures would morph. I've actually seen my friends face stretch out like a moose, and even points on his face would turn pointy and he would look demonic at times. Quite frightening for being in that state of mind, but besides you shouldn't focus on her outter beauty, remember what else is there even if she appears to be a horrid beast. These hallucinations are very very different than the things you would see on mushrooms or acid, at least in my experiences.
 
You think thats bad? Look at EcstasyConvert rolling. JK. She's the only one who thinks she's ugly rolling (not saying you cant tell she's fucked up though).

I dont know why Im finding it so much fun to torture her today. Oh well, everyone needs a hobby.

Anyway I wouldn't worry about it. I think that it was more you on ecstasy than her on ecstasy that made her look so scary, because Im assuming its not the first time you have seen her in the dark.
 
Ecstacy can *definitely* make you hallucinate. My guess based on my personal experiences is that it is most likely when your serotonin levels are already depleted and you are continuing to use the drug when you should be waiting for them to replenish. (This isn't meant to sound admonishing... I've certainly done this plenty myself)

Anyway, personally, people tend to look like zombies in the dark when I take the drug at this point... I can almost count on it. It's a little unsettling at first, but eventually you get used to it. But no, the hallucinations are never anything like what you'd see on LSD or Psilocybin.

As far as whether it was MDA or MDMA... I've gotten this effect on both... Although I'll admit that MDA does seem a little more "psychadelic", but the stuff that happens when I've been taking it too much seems to be consistant to the whole MDxx family of substances.
 
The changing faces thing (and especially the glasses) is very common for me when rolling. I've even learned to control it. All I have to do is stare at someones face, concentrate, and their face will morph into that of another person. Other races, other genders...only human so far for me though. I thouroughly enjoy it and can even watch my own face shift in a mirrior.

Like others have said, MDA produces more of this effect. The most intense form of this visual I ever got was on MDA and my whole body changed with my face in the mirrior to that of a uniformed English soldier in WW1. With a nice bullet wound in my neck.
 
I haven't tripped like that in a long time, but there have been instances where i've seen peoples faces who i recognise on other people's bodies.

I got slapped one time cause i grabbed this girl who i thought was a girl i was hooking up with earlier. Other times i've started conversations with people thinking it was a friend. Then all of a sudden you look over and you see their real face and are like "whoa..."
