Lol! I think I'm the only one.

My memory has actually gotten better since i started using ecstasy. However my memory was never that good before hand. But after i started taking ecstasy recalling memories is so much easier. It's quite handy.

Despite my previous bad memory however i was always in the top classes for science and stuff because my logic was always really good. I was always able to work stuff out on the stop in tests, rather than trying to remember it. Also i always figured that good logic and good memory kinda have an inverse relationship. The more you relied on one the less you relied on the other. Maybe ecstasy has made me dumber logic-wise (this would be hard to test, because i haven't done a 'logic test' since i was very young, so i have nothing to compare any test i do now with).
If this is true then it would explain why my memory is better; i have to rely on memory more - hence it has gotten better. (You memory gets better the more you use it)

I notice I have issues with memory after a night out, but a week or two to let my brain get back to normal and I'm usually more or less ok. Obviously the more heavily I've been using lately, the longer it takes to recover.

a. I have used ecstasy and have no memory problems

i voted for that one, but my previous use is somewhere between normal using and abusing. for about 3 months i rolled 2-3 times a week, and i had memory problems all through that time, including not remembering how to spell certain words, randomly forgetting what i was trying to do, etc and those lasted about a month after i stopped too. but that was 2 years ago, now i roll once every 3-4 months and have no memory problems except on the first couple of days after i roll.

I have used ecstasy, the pure MDMA gelcaps at raves. I pop every weekend. I've noticed while on ecstasy my memory is fragmentted, I can never remember that someone took this picture of me nor, having my picture taken. I don't remember peoples names I meet nor some of their faces.
Days after my memory is very screwed, but after a few days its still not like pre-rolling days. After since signing onto this forum and I'm told I'm rolling too much, I'm going to take a break, and limit myself to once a month.

My memory has been crap since day one, 'parrently its part of my dyslexia although I think anything can be dyslexia nowadays.

Either way, my memory has always been crap and I havn't helped it with the ridiculous amounts of boodah I have smoked. But yeah I abused E for a good couple of months but not massivly and I noticed memory problems which I think have now on the whole subsided but for the first week or two after getting messy I always have a little sieve'yness.

good idea, using once a week will catch up to you fast.

No need for the sermon, that's why there was a "Abuse" option D

Sermon?

The fact is that if you do ecstasy every week for long periods of time it will start to have negitave effects, I dont see how affirming that is preaching.

I'ts you body and you can do what you want with it, but you should at least be aware of the risk.

Well, it would help if you weren't a smartass with the way you worded it... "yaah, good idea,...roll every week"

I wasnt trying to piss anyone off. I was simply saying that candy_raver was making a good decision.

You're more than welcome to disagree, but calling me a preachy smartass isnt doing any good.

I"m pretty sure he can figure out on his own that poppin weekly isn't a good idea; he just chose to anyways. I'm sure he wasn't thinking "hey, this is safe!!!" That's the only reason I made the sermon comment, and didn't think the sarcastic 'good idea' was all that necessary. Maybe I was being a little sensitive there, my bad..it's all good. "now shake hands":)

**Shakes hands**

This is after all an ecstasy board, more love less conflict!

btw, when i was smoking weed regularily my memory seemed fine to me at the time, but once i stoped i really noticed the difference :O We cant really be very objective about memory loss on ourselves :(

worddddd, its really hard to tell

D. I have abused ecstasy and have memory problems.

Although my abuse wasn't as bad as some, if I take a 6 month break the magic is mostly back. That said I've never taken a break longer than 6 months so maybe an even longer break would give my serotonin system time to rebuild itself completely.

Also my memory problems aren't that bad really, I notice I have quite a bad memory about certain things sometimes, stuff that happened in the past, etc, etc... But I've drank a lot of alcohol and smoked a lot of weed in the time I've been doing ecstasy, both of which probably didn't help my memory any.

i have abused and still have my memory.and on all the times ive also
smoked a fair amount of cannabis and still have my normal memory.

define abused??

That’s tough to answer because everyone has different criteria for abuse. My definition would probably be radically different than others but generally abuse is use over long enough periods of time that eventually causes loss of the magic and significantly longer lasting depression.

As far as the poll is concerned though ask yourself weather you think you abused ecstasy, or if you were a recreational user.
