There's something in the air lately it seems
I keep seeing people I haven't seen in ages
Found out that people are learning stuff
Lots of new interesting things are happening
Going down Leith Walk today
Smiling and smiling although I'm broke
And although I'm alone I'm HAPPY
I feel like finally I'm THERE y'know
Finally I can hold my head up and say that I exist
My life isn't a silly sham after all
There's nothing wrong with me
And how could I stop smiling anyway
When there's echoes of hope all around
People smiling at me and glad that I'm here
Laughter in the corridors of my heart
Where it used to be so empty
And I felt so small, so lost, so used.
