Eating Weed

I'm familiar with just about everything except weed. Does eating weed get you just as high as smoking it if you use the same amount? I have a small amount(enough to get messed up a few times) and I wanted to know what the best method besides smoking it would be. Would i be able to just grind it and stick it in a piece of cheese and microwave it or something?
 
Pop it some milk and gently heat on the stove to allow the active ingredients to be absorbed buy the fats (10-15minutes) then drain away the plant matter, add some drinking chocolate powder and drink away your tears. Smoking it may be a little more efficient but you will get a nice buzz from a hot chocolate without having to fuss with cooking it into biscuits or brownie.

With the milk method, I like to make some Quaker Oats cinnamon roll-flavored oatmeal with my weed milk. It's deliciously stony, if that makes sense. %)

1. No. If it takes you 1g to get sufficiently stoned by smoking, it'll take more than 1g ingested in an edible to get you the same amount of stoned. I'm not sure the actual ratio, but people tend to advocate using twice the amount of weed per edible serving you would use to get high via smoking. I realize that's kind of a jumbled sentence so I can try to simplify it more if I didn't word it well.

2. Vaporizing would be the best option, in my mind, second to smoking and third to an edible. The order changes depending on my mood any given day, though. :)

3 Actually, yeah. You can do it with peanut butter, too. I prefer to use the oven over the microwave, but I've done both with success. For weed and cheese, search for "Leary Biscuit," and for weed and peanut butter, search for "firecracker marijuana." You should be able to find reliable instruction for both here on BL, but I know for a fact Erowid's had them up for about a decade + 2 years now.

You don't want the milk boiling away you really just want it on a low simmer, otherwise it will burn. I'm sure you could achieve the same effect with amicrowave but it would be a lot of stopping and allowing it to cool before heating again. I have never used the cheese or peanut butter methods but the theory is the same. Heat + fats so that the active ingredients are absorbed by the fat. You do the same with butter to create cannibutter for baking or cooking.
 
im partial to just chewing on a bud or two myself...i love the the aroma and a wet damp bud is tasty...specially when your drunk. never tried the milk trick, might have a dig.

oral ingestion gets you waaay higher imo, although you do need more. a few points of oil down the hatch and youll be busted up all day.
 
I believe you don't need to add any extra fat. Just eating it will propably absorp it efficiently enough as will other fat-soluble ingredients in our foods like vitamins because there is allways little fat in our intestines (if you haven't been fasting).

The fibrous material carrying your THC and other psychoactives is a bit tougher than the average material your digestive system deals with. The theory goes that you'll eat, partially digest and then expel partially digested plant matter faster than your body can fully extract all the psychoactives, meaning that you'll be shitting out drugs that you haven't made use of yet.

Tougher than ex. Nettle, broccoli or carrot? They are very fibrous also but apparently body can absorp fat soluble substance ex. k-vitamin from them. How does weed differs from other herbs? Just asking.
 
Theoretically? Yes, tougher than all those.


Now, I won't stop you if you want to do some science and prove that wrong. I'm not saying this is true, just what a group of people believe. It makes sense but I don't believe it's been proven or disproven.
 
Funny topic! Back when my wife and I had just gotten married, we drove down to FL to stay with some real good friends. When we got there, they were still at work so we decided to make some brownies. We put about a 1/4 oz in one batch and OMG did we get buzzed. It's a strange feeling to get super red eyes without even smoking one toke. I think we made them too strong! I have to say that the buzz from eating those was more of a total body high and more sustained than smoking. I think smoking is more of a "head high", IMO. Super Fond Memories!
