Eating prior to getting high makes it stronger?

Ok so yesterday, I took 4 Hydrocodone-Acetaminophen pills and wow it was awesome! The thing is that for 3 days consecutive, I had been taking 4 pills and the first 2 times it did nothing! The third time, however, (which was yesterday) it hit me really good! What's been bothering me is not knowing what I did that made it hit me that hard! I can only guess that it was because a few hours before I took them, I ate! I'm not sure if this is true, though. Also, I took the pills with cold water but I'm not sure if this has anything to do with it. What I want to know is, if eating makes these pills stronger and if cold water has any part on this? If someone knows the answer, I would be really grateful if you answered me! Thanks! :)

Hydrocodone does readily dissolve in cold water. Hence the cold water extraction. But idk if that will make any much a difference to say it contributes to intensity and euphoria.

As for taking em on a full stomach, it's commonly known that taking drugs on and empty stomach increases absorption rate so it indirectly increases intensity. So for that to be the opposite sounds very strange. Maybe you have wings too?

If you're looking to potentiate your hydros, then I recommend that you pop your pill(s) first, wait for the effects to kick in, and then raid your fridge for some FOOD WITH HIGH FAT CONTENT. I don't know the specific chemistry behind this, but I imagine it has something to do with your liver. Either way, it'll make your high a lot stronger, plus you'll feel good about eating unhealthy for once!

Also, grapefruit juice does wonders in terms of opiate potentiation. It inhibits the CYP3A4 enzyme, which is responsible for drug metabolism; thus you get more of the drug in your system for a longer period of time. Double whammy.

A lipid-rich environment in your gut from eating a high fat meal can increase the potency of certain drugs. In my experience, Oxycodone and Methadone are the most affected, with a noticeable difference in intensity being observed by consuming a high fat meal either prior or soon after ingestion.

Even with this in mind, I always consume all drugs on as empty a stomach as I can. The faster hit is far more preferable to the slight boost that you may or may not get from the high fat meal.

Thanks everyone! I will try eating before and after! Hopefully it does work! :)

I always need to eat before dosing because I always get hungry after dosing opiates.

Ime, if eating half an hour to an hour before dosing never made a difference in my high......

I could never dose on an empty stomach like most people I know.

Food soaks up pills and interferes with their absorbtion.Any pill (or at least the ones you may use for recreation) are always better on an empty stomach,Try crushing them up and chasing with a hot cup of coffee, tea etc.Hot liquids dissolve them faster and will aid in absorbtion, making them hit faster and harder.Best to not have eaten within the past 3-4 hours before taking your pills and dont't eat for 2 hours or so after taking your pills.

Thanks for the advice! I've noticed that, for some reason, it hits harder when I drink a lot of cold water! Before and when I take it, I drink a lot of cold water, it makes it gut harder. But after I take it I don't drink anything at all!
