It is common knowledge among drug users that stomach contents affect the duration and intensity of an experience (when the drug is administered orally, at least). But could eating directly after ingestion or at any time before the drug is fully absorbed also affect the experience? For example, if I were to take a drug orally and then eat until my stomach was full, would the drug be absorbed the same way it would be had my stomach been full before ingestion?

Unusual question and a tricky one to answer I think what particular, drug are you talking about?

^ atm's right, it depends on what drug and how/where the drug is absorbed.. but as a general rule of thumb I'd avoid eating a big meal until you start feeling the first effects of the drug :)

I was going to suggest I different form of injection, maybe sublingual, partly because I like the word so much;)

Fast answer: It really does depend upon the drug.

To the best of my understanding if you eat with food, it slows down the absorption rate, though it will all eventually get into your blood stream. Depending on what you're ingesting, this could diminish the effect of the drug (AKA your experience) OR prolong it (again, depending on the drug).

i used to have a big pet peeve, i would always wait to be on an empty stomach to take pills. nowadays, ill take pills on an empty stomach, and eat within 5minutes after and still feel effects as if i were on an empty stomach, verses when i would take pills already on a full stomach it is diminished alot, the effects, etc.
