Title explains it. Love the high and Been doing it For a while now, but I never know weather its best to eat before or after I take it

i never eat before doing anything... it gets you higher if there isnt any type of food to soak up some of the drug.. if your going to geek out for a week then i would suggest maybe eating something an hour before so u dont feel like a meth head while ur fucked up...

empty stomach, its a fast acting sedative designed to kick in fast and sedate you, with food in ur stomach its going to gradually hit you at a slow pace, thus not work properly. its like taking xanax after you ate a big meal, or popping a bunch of oxys, ur gonna hardly feel it and it takes forever to kick in. if you ate, wait 1-2hrs than ingest

Ok, I love wonton soup, just need to put that out there.

Took my ambien, ate my wonton takeout, woke up, and IT IS GONE.

I'm confused, asking who ate my wontons, I was quite pissed.

Of course, Ambien amnesia, forgot I even ate and then went on to rant with my family about my missing wontons.

Ambien is for sleeping, it gets its name from AM (morning) + bien (spanish for good), so GoodMorning. Random fact.

If you want to wake up to a good morning however, you'll learn to address the underlying conditions inducing your insomnia to begin with, benzodiazepine therapy is not very effective for most people especially the longer you take it, so it's best to not take the ambien, IME it just is a super strange hallucinogen.

If you must, you will take the ambien immediately before getting in bed and you won't take the pill expecting it to suddenly be potent enough to knock you out and that "you'll go to bed when the pill makes you tired" because then it never has a chance as a hypnotic, weak already as it is, and it's ridden with hallucinogenic side effects and it is very scary talking to someone who's blacked out on zolpidem, it's usually freakier than talking to someone who's tweaking or someone who just smoked an 8th of crack....

My $0.02, I fucking hate z-drugs they really are useless and their risks outweigh the benefits in 90% of the cases I see, and people are better off finding other ways to cope with insomnia. Even if that means some chemical assistance with more traditional/classic benzodiazepines for a while, long-term benzo use for sleep is a hopeless, miserable, lonely, long road that you don't want to start hitch hiking down... It often starts with Zolpidem because it's been marketed so heavily and most general practitioners I've known like to start people on it before moving onto the more hardcore benzos.

i usually take pills on an empty stomach, and if im hungry ill eat 15mins later and i seem to get the benefits of an empty stomach, even 10mins later

same man.. i honestly like the feeling of being hungry when im on pills. and it makes me skinny =)

pills hit you harder and faster if you take them on an empty stomach but some pills are harsh on the stomach so do some research ambien is fine on the stomach though

FYI there is an awesome article in New Yorker magazine from a couple weeks ago about the the z-drugs market (specifically zolpidem), discussing all its side effects and also a new alternative they're working on that has a totally different mechanism than acting on GABA and is quite interesting.
Just puttin that out there, go read it if you wanna find out some surprising stuff about the way pharm companies advertise and market this stuff.

OP - you should check out Basic Drug Discussion for questions like this; basic and little (if any) HR value. a search would have yielded plenty of results as well.
