So this is a question that I've noticed has been covered fairly extensively in this and other forums. I am, however, frustrated because I cannot seem to find anywhere where people are able to come to a consensus. Should I be heating my shots of East Coast #4 powder, or should I not be heating them?
Earlier, I decided to heat a shot before I drew it up as my own little experiment. I could've sworn that the shot felt like more D was dissolved than If I hadn't heated it. Maybe this was placebo, helped by the fact that I wanted to get a stronger shot out of it.
I just wanna know, in all of your experience, does heating your shots make them stronger, do you think? I know with H #4 on the east coast its not necessary, and I've been doing cold shots since I started using, but I am wondering if despite the fact that its not necessary, would doing so make the shot stronger in your experience?
Also, would doing so make the shot safer by killing some bacteria that may or may not be in the dope?
Lastly, would doing so burn off some of the dope if you heat it too much? When I heat, I generally bring it to the edge of beginning to bubble and then stop, as I am always afraid to burn off and waste some D.
Let me know what you guys think...sorry if this has been covered before but I really haven't seen anywhere where people have come to any kind of consensus about the answer to this question.
Stay safe peeps.
