Heroin East coast heroin turned sticky?

Last night I got a few bags of east coast powder heroin(from Philly). I emptied them into an old bag I had, in a powdery form like it is supposed to be

Well, I woke up this morning, and the heroin is in a clumpy, sticky form. It is a bit darker of a brown than normal. I've seen dope when it gets wet in a bag, so I know what happens. This stuff, while sticky, can be scraped off the bag and formed into a ball/manipulated. It still gets me high, and I don't really notice much if any degradation of quality

Any idea what it could be? I would guess moisture/water, but the bag it is in is not wet, and neither were the bags I transferred it from. Plus, when I've seen heroin get wet in the wax stamp bags, it sticks to the bag to the point where you cannot get it off. This stuff, while sticky, can easily be scraped off the bag and placed into the bottle cap I use to mix it up

humidity, bro. happened to me once. i left 4 bags in my top drawer with the window open all night. i woke up and they were empty! i was like WHO stole my fucking dope!???? while i was sleeping? wtf!!!??

realized later it had to be from a really humid night. lesson learned. keep it your wallet man.

I figured especially given the bag wasn't wet. That being said, the heroin is still there, and it's usable with no real degradation in quality. It really isn't a big deal so to say, I'm just curious how to prevent it in the future as well as avoid my dope degrading into morphine or non-psychoactive compounds

Ive heard that if you leave heroin out overnight that like 75% of it will turn into morphine.

Not a big deal though

Oh and next time if you dont want it degrading just keep it in your wallet or somewhere thats kind of sealed, like a glass jar or something.

Thats if it's in solution. Not in solid form.


Personally I think leaving drugs in a wallet is a bad idea. Esp. If you're sitting on it. It can be a warm, humid area. The best place you could keep it is a cool, dry place.

I try to keep my stash in a cellophane or I have a little changepurse and I stuck one of those silica gel packets from a beef jerky package in there too. That usually keeps moisture away pretty well.

Its the heat that does it, atleast with the brown I get. I would get brown powder heroin(or make it from tar by blending it with lactose) and if you leave it in a bag and heat gets to it(and especially some form of pressure), the cut can sometimes seem to "dissapear" or something, leaving you with a substance that looks closer to the original tar form of the heroin. It doesnt make it lose its quality, but it may make the amount of heroin look smaller, and darker, but in fact, its just more dense because its in a more "sticky-ish" form. Basically it condenses. Im not sure how or why it does this but ive witnessed it atleast a hundred times.

Your dope was exposed to the air/moisture (by you) and has now degraded at least in part to morphine. You have a sticky morphine based gum. Lucky for you this can still be shot, however snorting can work but not if you are opposed to snorting a pea sized morphine ball and having it sit and melt in your nose. (really bad idea)

how bout if you lost your wallet? and it had a bunch of h in it? if someone found it and gave it to law enforcement could that be enough evidence for possession charges?
