Made a great dinner tonight

marinated some chicken in harissa, lemon, garlic, spices and oil - then fried that until it went crispy

Made a side salad if kiwi, chickpea, onion, garlic, chili, lemon, oil

had that with brown rice

I'm not a breakfast food type person. So, I've made myself a burrito filled with rice, a bit of chicken, greek yogurt, a little cheese and a lot of very herby hot sauce.

My mouth is still watering and a bit tingly! YUM! <3
 
Your breakfast sounds great, I had toast :D. One of the hotels I was recently staying in did a breakfast burrito - backon, sausage, egg with rice and cheese and a spicy sauce and they were simply gorgeous.

Last nights dinner was really tasty though, got a load of the salad stuff left so may have that for lunch with tuna and rice.

Got myself a load of clams so going to have clams with spaghetti, I might have it plain with garlic and parsley or may defrost some sauce that I made in bulk earlier.
 
2 scotch eggs and a bag of Golden Cross, Party Mix, jalapeno and sour cream flavoured potato snacks. %)

Basically all of Bear's food-related posts make me hungry as hell even if I wasn't before. Man has a way with food and also words, it seems! I could go for clams and spaghetti, love seafood but don't get opportunity much cos missus hates it (which mother finds hilarious :|)
 
Snolly - I had been fancying this clam with spaghetti for a while. Went today got the clams, getting ready to cook them tonight.... They were passed their best, open and even though they smelled fine I just didn't want to risk it.

I went with a bag of frozen prawns and a bag of pasta sauce (that I cooked in a big batch ages ago and froze in portions) - wasn't really what I fancied but was still really tasty.

Aw boo on the clams, don't wanna risk it with seafood tho, aye. Prawns are still good, frozen or no. Keep meaning to get one of those fuck-off massive ones and stuff it with some sort of cheese or other then batter and fry it. One day...
 
cheesy stuffed prawns sound nice - I bought some white stilton with apricots yesterday. not sure what its going on or in yet - probably have it on toasted french stick with pear and honey. (Probably end up just eating chunks of it each time I'm in the fridge).
 
Lemon and Garlic hummus spread on a warm baguette, and then filled with harissa chicken and fried onion/garlic and thinly sliced cucumber.

Dammit I'm hungry now! Doubt there are any tortillas left >< !!!

I'll be having tasty rice for breakfast but soooooo much better in a tortilla! Ponders upon munchies that might be had..... Can't be bothered now.
 
Roast sweet potato, fried chicken and onion and garlic, salad (onion, tomato, kiwi, romaine ) have a bottle of cajun spicy sauce, so mixed that with lemon juice, olive oil and thats dressing the salad.
 
Had tasting menu at the square last week%), everything was amazing except the bill.

Otherwise I have been doing way too much cooking for other people and not enough cooking for myself. I have some shortribs and a grouse in the fridge and two days off though so going to have myself some nice stuff. Going to make a starter dough tomorrow as well.

What did you taste at the square?

I did a simple garlicky roast baby plum tomato and pancetta with spaghetti tonight - the toms got squidgy :D

Have made Aloo Gobi and dhal for tomorrow hoping the flavours infuse and deepen overnight.

What is Mrs Kirkham's Lancashire? I get the rest but have no idea what this is.

We have only one Michelin star restraurant nearby and compared to that menu its positively unadventurous and twee :D However, the produce is all local and first class.

I was impressed but I preferred the food I had last time I went (about five or six years ago). Also I worked for a restaurant owned byt the same guy back then and got loads of free shit=D. It's a superb place though, almost impossible to fault the food.

I'm good, enjoying work and life again. I hesitate to say it but my life seems to be regaining a degree of stability. Yourself? Have you changed you username recently or is my (piss poor) memory letting me down again?

Delighted to hear things are on the up for you, you deserve that. Keep on in there. Sounds like you are on track with work too, not everyone has "taste" ;)
