EADD sandwich appreciation thread

I hate it when I press Go rather than reply.

This thread made me hungry.

Ended up having to make a sandwich. Mature cheddar, Thinly sliced onions and hot chillies and tomatoes. It really was missing some Avacado though


Was really nice and fresh. Was only 1/2 a sandwich though. Don't feel too bad about it.

Had to look that up and still not sure what it is. Like Worcester Sauce but with less fermented anchovies and more whippets? Oddly enough they don't sell it at me local Spar so will likely remain an exotic mystery for now. Did remind me how fond of the anchovial version I am though so may have to invest. Can't beat cheese on toast with manky old fish juice <3

This thread is also making me crave sarnies despite the fact I had two ham rolls not all that long ago. Bought two packs (only 3 slices per pack though) of nice ham for 10p along with a 20p fresh loaf cos it was the end of the day earlier. Fresh bread and ham that's out of date in 35 minutes (surely it becomes rancid on the stroke of midnight, no?) is probably best eaten sooner rather than later so may have to indulge in a bit and spread that burgeoning middle-aged spread just a bit thicker... Got some Branston too come to think of it. Woot!
 
Brie n cranberry sause - but again prefer it toasted.

Sadie you're always bannin' on about having half of this or a wee potion of that, what's with you girl? why not just give into the munchies? or does thee protest too much too much n' not like like to admitting too much, or an eatin' disorder? 8( Gal your on BL ! why kid it?...we read the munchin' thread and can add 1+1 lol 8)
 
Because I already Had dinner earlier. It was pure greed. It was making me hungry.


Sadly, there is no reason for me to have the munchies except for pure and simple gluttony.

And yeah, I do have to watch what I eat.

Ahh Hendersons.. yep, bit like Lea and Perrins but no anchovies and more yumminess. It's got more flavour to it imo :)

Appears to only be a Sheffield thing though - recently had to order some off ebay, gah! Well worth it of you ever come across it though :D
 
Peanut butter and raspberry jam ftw. Also chocolate pread with raisins in is pretty good if you are having a sweet craving. Also a fan of pastrami on rye with sau.erkraut and gherkins and mustard

The butchers round the corner makes the beast baguettes. Loads of choice of ham and cured meats, olive tapenade, pesto and humous blue roasted veggies, a big selection of cheeses and artichokes for you to mix and match. Nom nom.

I had a spaghetti Bolognese sandwich for lunch.

Hey, they're tasty and I had to use up the left overs. I like spag sandwiches.
 
love bolognese sandwiches with cheese. Also left over chilli toasted cheese sandwichs are teh sechs.
 
Tuna mayo with grated cheese mixed in. Pretty much every day I have ham and garlic and herb cheese spread on a garlic pitta bread. Nice and light, as to watch the old calories. At weekend I'll have a sausage, scrambled egg and cheese slice sandwich, which is microwaved a little to melt the cheese slices. Heaven. Then there's cheese on toast, with brown sauce or ketchup all over it. Bacon butties. Crisp butties with lots of butter and mayo. Prawn mayo <3. Have had a meat pie butty a few times. Nom nom.
 
Love Sarnies my top 5 atm are :

Square Sausage, brown sauce

meatball sub

Chocolate Spread and Chunky Peanut Butter

Beefsteak Tomato with just sum salt and pepper - this one has to be made with quality slated butter for it to work !

Leftover boiled potatoes sliced and fried with fried onions and red sauce
(a bit of a take on a traditional chip buttie)

My 5 Favourite sandwiches:

Bacon and Brie
Chicken Tikka (homemade, in naan, with minty yoghurt)
Good ham and thinly-sliced Gruyere in lip-shreddingly crusty French bread
Hummus, Haloumi and grilled Cherry Tomato

Inspired by this thread i decided that a noodle,omelette ans chopped sausage and cooked up together in sandwich form will fill the spot,altho ive already munched a tuna ans sweetcorn sandwich,damn this stinky overpriced cheese weed,its more expensive then my old coke habit! lol
