Nah I'm just the violinist.

Yes we are influenced by Nick Cave, Tom Waits, Pete Doherty et al!

Here's one of our first ever performance in front of anyone. Was nearly a year ago, we've changed quite a lot (even since Jonathon Price was recorded). We have a new bassist for one.

Im trying to find a clip of an old friends welsh band on you tube, he was a violinist and played one of the most amazing violin solos ive heard on a piece of folk rock music. He seems to have taken it down. I'll message him and try and get a link.

In the meantime heres another band i was mates with the singer and keyboardist. There were loads of us trying to form bands at the time. These are actually getting quite big now. Out of all of the bands i knew these are the most successfull. Very catchy Ska stuff. Teenage dreams came true for these.

had to take these links down for traceabilty reasons. Only the mods now have access, thats fine i trust them. I do not trust all the lurkers on here however. :sus:

I wanna hear that violin solo! Playing violin in a band has really given me a keen ear for other violinists in bands. Camper Van Beethoven had a good one, and of course the Charlie Daniels Band.
 
I've never heard of them. This song sounds class though. Like Camper Van's gypsy stuff. Killer bassline btw!

my ex work colleague was at this event. The clash of the new age travellers and the riot police.

To be fair, they were probably big whilst you were about 3 years old, considering our age difference.
