So.. how do I convince my boyfriend that it's completely fine for me to be sharing an apartment with a load of male drugthusiasts? :|
 
Hehe. Bring him with? Hope there is at least one other female BLer up for it (as it were)? Not mention you're sharing an apartment with a load of male drug enthusiasts? Point out that several male drug enthusiasts are probably less dodgy than just the one? I'll let ya know if any more leap to mind :D

Can kinda see wotcha mean: doesn't sound so good on paper, as it were. EADD meets are traditionally about consuming vasty quantities of drugs in the general vicinity (depending on who gets lost) of folk who are usually but words on a screen. If there have been any sudden outburts of drug-drenched orgy stuffs I've somehow managed to miss 'em. Convincing significant others of that may be slightly tricksy if they don't at least lurk a bit around the place to put mind at rest though.

It's not like it's an essential element if it's gonna be a problem for people - as Bear said, it's really only practical if enough people are going anyway. Did work very well at the last Brizzle meet though. Just makes the whole thing a lot easier for all in terms of providing summat for everybody's taste and (most importantly from experience) giving a buffer zone between meet night and crawling home night. Will have to see how many show enough enthusiasm for somebody to actually organise booking such a thing.

Nah, it's a good idea, I agree.. airbnb.com springs to mind, assuming a place could be found with a relaxed owner.

I don't really need to convince him of owt, but I think he'll worry about me disappearing and my kidneys ending up on eBay. ;)
 
I'd worry more about yer liver, frankly. If any organ is in short supply amongst EADDers... :D

Brimz: I did meet one of yer Bath-based breadbins at one or two of the Brizzle meets (*waves at Mr Fishy and thanks him for the Xmas card he shamefully hasn't gotten around to thanking for until now* <3:o<3*).

Sadly one of a number of EADDers I really regret never making it to a meet with. Evad was another. We often talked about meeting up cos we just kinda clicked but with him so far oop north and me so arse end of nowhere it just never worked out even though there were loads of meets actually happening around that time. Very glad I was fortunate enough to meet Carsick a couple times before... He was the one that organised the afterparty digs for that last Brizzle meet. Put me up at his place (nangs and QI <3) that night too after everybody else had left. Also had the privelige of Mugz for a night (fnarr) at a mini-meet.

For those that are undecided but kinda want to go really, I can promise you you're more like to regret not making it to a meet than you are for putting in the effort if it's at all possible to get down.

Yeah, I met several of the, as you so rightly put it, brizz massif at those Brizzle meets. Actually a few too many for me to recall 'em all which is occasionally a bit awkward when it comes up in threads. In my defence, those meets were pretty big sometimes and my memory ain't great at the best of times. That and, obviously, drugs. It still amuses me that I genuinely did get a random fella walk up to me in the street in Brizzle and ask if I had a spare line of K. Demz were the daze - when Brizzle was fair paved with powdered anaesthesia <3
