If it is Manchester and not a huge group of people it's odds on i will also turn up. Whether that will reduce any chance of there being a huge group turning up i do not know. ;/
I could save Knock and Shambles hotel fees (and anyone else) but you guys would probably be up through the night anyway ?

very kind of you to offer MDB. I will need to review the thread to see if there has been a suggested format (venue etc) as I've not been paying close enough attention, been so busy with other stuff. Like you say there is the possibility of sleep not being a possibility :D
I would have loved to have come to Brum but have hospital on January 31st so can't really come. Hopefully one of you will take some photos that we can all enjoy looking at & hearing the tales of debauchery that will no doubt occur.

See.. I find that interesting, as I much prefer meetups with bigger groups of people. In a small group, if you don't get on with someone, it's awkward. And if you get on really well with them, it's awkward because it ends up being a bit too date-like.
And sorry to hear that max. If anything happens I'll make sure I get some photos for you.

i guess big groups tend to split up into smaller groups and people can become left out. That's why im not so keen on big groups as they can be a bit too much sometimes, with everyone competing for attention, i cant really be doing with all that.

Nah, I think you get different dynamics within any group.. I usually end up chatting with quieter people anyway; a lot of the time I find loud attention-seekers kind of annoying. (Unless they're particularly hot. 8))

Yeah I can relate to what MDB's saying. I have generally been a bit of a timid wallflower (I used the term with liberal poetic license) and find big groups difficult to cope with, I just get overwhelmed by the number of people and I have difficulty following a conversation where you've got several people talking at once. But it is something I've got better at over the years, and while I'd find it easier to enjoy myself in a smaller group, I think I'd be fine with a bigger group too, as MDB says big groups split up into smaller groups naturally anyway.
Also I do tend to notice if people are being left out and it would make me uncomfortable, I would try to remedy that situation should it occur.
Funny about the "date" thing though, social awkwardness aside I can appreciate why some people (ladies in particular) would feel safer in numbers. When I found out Pagey was hooking up with Mrcientist I was initially very worried about her, but it seems he's turned out to be a decent fellow. :D

Even though everyone is a stranger,you will have all have knowledge of each other & probably have conversed on the forum.
You will all have Bluelight in common & I bet it will be great to finally put faces to all the names that you know.
Am jealous, would love to come along as on here everyone seems to be decent open minded folk & I'm sure that the conversation will flow freely.
I hope you all have a great time and make the most of being in the same place together for once.
