Haha, I did a course in dudley a couple of years ago (the harry mitchell college on castle hill) and I actually thought the town centre was rather nice, but then i live in Crewe, so what do i know...
You must of being taken in by the allure of the castle and blinkered to the rest of the goings on.

Poll is pointless, as it will gather votes from loads of people who won't actually turn up.

I take a prediction loads of people will be keen for going, yet only 3 people will actually turn up (if you're lucky)

You put then your word you want to strike out followed by /STRIKE (in brackets again...but if I put the brackets in here you wont see my HTML code.)

Its a fucking long way to go for a few beers or w/e, and as 2 of us live in greater manchester anyway, cant the other 2 come 2 manchester ?

Ovenight accomodation guarenteed should anyone require it, sofa cushions for one, spare bed for the other. Or however you would like to arrange things should that ever happen.

There's more than 2 of us on the forum.. a lot of Londoners/Devoners/other folk say Birmingham is easier.

Clearly Manchester is easier for me. ;) (Obviously Manc on 1st/2nd is also an option.)

Manchester is 6/7 hour drive for me (that's assuming the traffic is sensible). Cost of fuel is scaring me a little bit also.

Yessss... if only you could type my username properly I'd like you.

It's BBCode ;)

HTML code is disabled on this site and looks like this -

<HTML>
<BG COLOR=RED>
</BG>
</HTML>

yes I know I'm being picky, consider it revenge for all the spelling corrections over the years

The thing I love about the (English) Midlands is the contrasts. You can stand on the edge of urban sprawl, climb a hill and there will be nothing but endless rolling moorland on the other side. Even within a town, the affluent areas are only ever a few footsteps away from the poorer areas. And how in the downtown shopping areas, there is often a huge variety of architectural styles above the fascias, where hardly anyone ever looks .....

Two birds with one stone

It's not "I of been .....", "I of had .....", "I of drunk .....", "I of took" when you are talking about something that ofhas definitely happened -- and neither is it when there is a conditional auxiliary verb in the way.

It would be a help if somehow folk could arrange car shares so fuel costs could be cut and for those of us without a car it could also be cheaper & easier than the train plus the driver pays less for his fuel costs.
I'd love to meet you all,just money issues may make it more difficult.

Yes, yes I made a balls of the whole post... Being shouldn't appear after have. Julie, no idea what a 'conditional auxiliary verb' is, I shall look it up..

In my defence, im on my phone rushing to post while at work. No thesaurus to hand you see ;)
