Everytime I bought a sheet of blotters, I used to cover them on both sides with sellotape. Dunno whether this prevented degradation at all, but they didn't half take some bloody chewing....
I don't think you have invented the smartest way to preserve acid from degrading. Why don't you simply use a food vacuum sealing machine to keep your blotters air tight and then the store them in a cool and dark place. It's a simple as that.
Good points lads, but 30 years ago (which was the last time i bought a sheet) there weren't that many vacuum food sealing machines around and when you're living with your parents you can't really be putting stuff like that in the fridge, ya know? I did what I could - at the very least it prevented leaching onto other materials..
BTW, 'fridge' is just an abbreviation of 'refrigerator'..![]()
