aye, you're right. i've just got this nagging feeling about the whole thing. i'll stfu and forget about it for now. :)

hopefully hearing about another interview soon.

It is awful though when you feel you don't gel with the interviewers. Half the time the fault is also theirs. I've had some people interview me who have been more nervous than me!!!

It's a skill knowing how to conduct an interview just as much as it is being on the receiving end of one.

What kind of questions do you get asked?
generic pish about my weaknesses & strengths; what project did i work on that i was most proud of and why; what motivates me; how do i motivate others; how do i manage my time effectively. all that crap. :\

Felix I thought you had a job? I seem to remember you being sent home early as there was nothing for you to do, was that the end of it?

aye, it's all here in this thread... somewhere. ;)

the contract was for 18 days but it finished after 6. and i'm getting paid for the other 12 days anyway so that suits me just fine. %)

Signing on, how do you go about doing it? I guess I should be signing on but I've not a clue how you go about it.

Also can you claim back for any money you should have had but didn't because you were too lazy to sign on?

a) phone this number: 0800-055-6688 and they'll make an appointment at the job centre for you.

b) you'll need to come up with a better reason than that. ;)

I've no idea what number that is but I don't trust you enough to phone it. :p

Aye well obvioisly but can the money be backdated?

I just don't trust YOU felix. ;)

£95.50 every 2 weeks isn't too bad is it.

I move to Edinburgh in less than 2 weeks time don't know if I should just wait till I'm there before signing on to save having to go though the process twice. Is it easy enough to get signed on and start getting the money or a bit of a hassle?

I signed on a couple of weeks ago, got my first money about 10 days after I did, was much quicker than previous times.

Once I'm 'signed on' in Dundee I'm just wondering if I'll even have received any cash before moving to Edinburgh and needing to do it all over again.

On a CV what are the 'essential' sections that I should have?
Qualifications?
Employment history?
Aims and goals?
Acheivements?
Interests?
Personal Statement?
References?
...?

Also let's have some good interview tips / advice. I haven't been to a 'proper' interview since I started working in a kitchen when I was 16 and even that was just an 'OK you start next week' type of thing, the call centre was a training day rather than an interview. I need to know what I'm likely to be up against.

:)
