just got an email from the no. 3 guy asking if i could do a phone interview with the client next week. better practice my posh voice. :)

the rine in spine sties minely on the pline. fuck.

heh. he phoned at 1125 and it ended a minute ago.

that went really well actually! he was a really nice guy, quite laid back and funny. (i'm not convinced he was german, actually ;))

the good thing is that i am fucking *made* for this job. everything i've done in the past 18 years makes my experience a perfect fit for it, so i didn't need to lie or exaggerate about anything. i should hear back within the next 10 days. the next step, if i'm successful, will be a face to face interview in aberdeen. he will be flying over to do them himself.

this was my first ever phone interview, and the second he had ever done, so neither of us really knew what we were doing and it was pretty informal. plus he would be the boss, so it wasn't like dealing with some HR droid cunt. thank god for that.

oh aye, he said he wanted the position to be 4 weeks on/4weeks off, as opposed to the 6 on/2 off i was advised before. so that's much better. :)

And does it pay well???
 
you an do any job you like without a degree. Mine sure as hell aint been any use! You'll be able to start an apprenticeship or something vocational.

I'm over fucking qualified for the work that's around in my loal hick town.

I think i'm going to lie and leave my degree out of the conversation next time I try for something.

i've managed without one for 20 years. it used to bother me but it doesn't any more. :\
