cheers for the advice, i think the engineering company plan sounds like a good one. im gonna try n get my driving test passed as soon as. not being on a decent wage till im 27 is a bit of a cunt but i supppose its worth it in the long run. the hard part now is gonna be getting up off my arse and actually doing something about it :\
 
hello folks, quick update from me.

this is where i am at the moment:

it's a fucking shithole. it has all the things i hate about working offshore without any of the good ones. it's smelly, dirty, noisy, and hot. the place is completely rammed with 'nothern englanders'* who only ever talk about football or bitch about how hard they're worked, in between their 17 fag n tea breaks every shift. and there is literally *nothing* to do after work apart from smoke fags and watch TV. there is hardly a book or magazine on the whole platform. and barely any talent to look at. :(

i don't think there's going to be enough work here to keep me out for the full 18 days, so i might get put home early. that would suit me fine, as long as i get about a week out of it.

so basically, i just don't like working. :D

this is only the second time i've been on. i've just been shown this wee office in an out of the way location, with two PCs in it. needless to say this is my new home, but i won't be sitting on BL all day. no, seriously, i won't. :)

Its only part time and the money is shite ~ BUT its a job all the same !!=D

BTW its being a vets assistant / receptionist coz I'm a bit of an animal myself see !!;) =D =D <3

i believe there is one of those gym contraptions somewhere, yes, but that's not really my cup of tea, especially not after a big meal. and the food is a lot better than i initially thought. :)

Woop, rocked the arse off this interview today, job's as good as mine!

Got another tomorrow so I'll see how that pans out.

Had an interview today, 4 separate interviews, 2 quick tests. Passed tests (or so i think) and 3 out of the 4 seemed to go well.

right, here is the latest from me, if anyone cares any more. ;)

1. current offshore job finished after 6 days out of 18, cos there wasn't enough work to keep me going. will hopefully get paid for all of it anyway....

2. no word on the other, permanent offshore job. they're interviewing more people this week.

3. no word on the overseas job (africa & germany), but expect to hear something soon. which reminds me, that guy thinks i'm still offshore. better phone him.

4. got a call from my pimp today (the agency from no. 1), who's putting me forward for a systems job. 70 mile commute everday to aberdeen (total round trip), 8 month contract, monday-friday office work, but silly money. they're in a major rush to get 'someone like me'...

so these last 3 couldn't be more different if they tried. if they were all offered to me on a plate, i really have no fucking idea which one i would do, they all have major pros and cons. 8(

Overseas for sure.. I'd rather live and regret than not live at all and wonder what could've been
