I love People Under The Stairs. They've got a similar style to Dilated Peoples at times, particularly the fat dude's (I forget his name) flow on that Pass The 40 tune.

Man I don't think I've looked forward to an album in a LONG LONG time than this one from what I've heard... so fucking dope - Madlib is just on another level to all the great producers. If you take his body of work from back in the Lootpack days until this stuff with Freddie Gibbs he leaves other producers in the shade, RZA, Primo, Dilla they are all legends with different styles but Madlib is untouchable in my personal opinion

Indeed. The Madvillain stuff with Doom is fucking awesome. I was listening to the Jaylib album (Dilla & Madlib) last night. Pure class.

It's been a long time since I've been looking forward to an album from a current/newish rapper. Got a load of Gibbs other stuff but it pales in comparison to the few Madlib produced tracks that are out, can't wait to hear the full album.

Yeah Madvillain is an all time classic.. I love the Jaylib album but actually prefer the ones where Madlib raps over Dilla beats but Madlib has some good beats on there too - the Quasimoto (Madlib) solo albums are really good too have you heard them?

I know, some of the Freddie Gibbs tracks aren't top notch but I think the beats let him down sometimes his rhymes are always solid - this ones pretty sick.. the dude got flows for days

 
I've heard some Quasimoto tracks, don't have any albums though. Might sort that out tonight.

Aye, it's definitely the beats that are letting him down. I was introduced to him through those Madlib tracks so everything else sounds shite in comparison (the beat for Deeper is crazy good and his flow fits it perfectly). That Statik Selektah track is pretty good though.
 
Any of you guys seen this before? I saw it about 10 years ago, thought it was pretty funny in a rather silly way back then. Just randomly remembered it, may give it another watch later. The Spinal Tap movie version of NWA pretty much.
