EADD Heroin thread v.XXV -- a quarter centuary of threads if not yet a full decade since the 'drought'...

Yeah unfortunately you could be right. I'm slightly suspicious of anything the Tallies say, especially as it must be such a huge money maker for them, but if there's no supply then the demand will probably get met with fentanyl.
There's some great synthetic opioids out there, I'm sure, but I'd bet any money fent will win as it did in the US.

Yep given that the US has frozen their accounts, they will probs have little choice in the end but they are probably doing OK with their lithium deposits and other minerals via the Chinese. In any case, there are plenty of stockpiles in the hands of big traffickers along the routes to keep Europe smack happy for the time being and no doubt some enterprising groups in places where the poppy grows will see a gap in the market that can be filled. There is much of central Asia around Afghanistan to consider, plus parts of India, Pakistan and other places where it can grow well and can utilise the same routes. And the synthetics can be made in Europe. Ffs they could set up plants in the UK if they had the precursors and a few half-decent chemists. I'm guessing that things like this are already happening and the NCA and MI5/6 will already know much more than the public does. The only thing I think could see this business struggle here is when addicts die off because not many young people get into it like they did in previous decades. But the possibilities with synthetics are potentially endless. I can see youngsters getting into oxy which as we know in the states tends to be fentanyl now for the most part.

Anyway interesting times ahead and we're far less likely to see a drought in this day and age.

I think the taliban are still sat on massive stashes of it, just the price was going too low, so they project there's a drought in order to correct the price.

Grams in my area are only £30 these days, and largely its good gear at that price. A gram of as pure as you can get #3 off the darknet is £70, and I'm pretty sure that's been purified once it reached the UK cos ive never seen anything else anywhere close to that in terms of purity, even from other darknet sellers or ordering internationally.

I do still think there will be a crisis in the UK similar to what the US has with fentanyl.

Me too. It's definitely already about, probs much easier to traffic and far more profitable than the old ways (poppy - opium - processing etc). Apparently that tranq shite that is used as a cut in the states was found in some poor lad who went over, think it was in the Midlands somewhere. No talk as to whether this was due to it being a cut in some local gear or whether he sourced it through other channels (as in not via the street).
 
Fent on wide sale on UK streets is something I've tossed over the mind for some time. I honestly think the "decent" junkies like myself, @blondin etc would refuse that crap, who want to pass out or die?

Even medical grade morphine feels different to Afghan #3 and I'm a True Heroin lover.

It's equal to saying you would drink Pepsi if Coca-Cola was removed from sale, go Dr Pepper OR just give up those kinda drinks.

You don't have to link anything Mexican cartel related, I know people who had their village taken over by CJNG which caused a 48 hour open street war, fully automatic guns were going off in the street as the Mexican army took out Sicario types.
A good friend does Tarot readings for two Sicario's.

Changed pharmacies for my pick up today and they've got this cool methadone dispensing machine - like a coffee machine kind of where they enter your dose and it automatically spits ya dose into the cup or bottles if they're take homes.
Not sure if I'll stay at this pharmacy though as loads of junkies hang out right next to it, although it's the case with most pharmacies TBF.
 
See, It was the Mexican cartels who made the decision to do the unthinkable in the drug selling world, to start mixing fentanyl into heroin supplies, something they knew was going to kill off a sizable chunk of their US market. Now in some parts of the US and Canada, heroin has been totally replaced by fentanyl. Up until then the drug dealing 101 had been “don’t kill your customer.” But it seems the cartel accountants had figured out they could still make a good profit from selling cheap and highly potent fentanyl even if they were killing off 70,000 of America’s 1 million heroin users every year – especially if they branched out by putting fentanyl into more socially acceptable opioid pills.

My God my friend who lives in downtown Vancouver (V6 postcode) will piss her underwear if she saw this. The junkies will be mixing Columbia coffee with their Fent from now on.
