Throughout Afghanistan I carried a .338 Lapua Magnum sniper rifle with a huge suppressor. Even then if you didn't wear ear pro it would still damage your ears permanently..Unless youre firing anything less than a .22lr suppressed then your ears will be fucked... and being able to hear what people are saying in combat is pretty fucking important IMHO.. shooting indoors just is just 1000 times worse. The supersonic crack adds much damage as the round exploding so for supersonic rounds a can doesn't reduce the sound much... it is its it's a good flash hider though

This is in Afghan in the green zone with my L115A3 AW Magnum and even with that can on the it would fuck your ears without ear pro...granted revolvers are smaller but fire one indoors and youd be deaf for a good 10-15 minutes....

Yeah, 22lr (long rifle) is,a small rimfire round weighing about 55 grains and (depending on the round) is usually sub-sonic..A Glock 17 (that I carried) is 9mm typically 124 grain supersonic... although there are 147 grainq sub-sonic variants that are much quieter through a suppressor
