s'my advice. read a little about what's going on, rather than just assuming you're entitled to some sort of PA info update.

Clear front runner here.

Not even a token vote for Higher Learning? Boooo, pricks. I should have just voted for my own one :|

Bit of a surprising front runner too, I'd say. Gotta <3 EADDers. Can't imagine that many other forums would be voting for an obscure, subtitled, black & white Russian satire as their top choice of viewing material for the week. EADD: brawn, beauty and brain oozing from every post <3

As for films that don't win the vote, I'm assuming that anyone who feels strongly enough about their recommendation can always put it up in subsequent weeks. Persistence and dedication and all that. Would be surprised if a few folk don't end up watching more than one off the list anyway. Pretty sure I will most weeks (and assuming I get around to watching 'em in timely fashion).

Blimey, this has taken off, good work! Looking forward to purchasing and watching and discussing %)

Im embarrased to say I havent seen any of the films in the poll 8o!! Anyone reccomend a starting point, as in which film i should give a go first?

Most of us haven't seen many of them mate. We were voting on one to all watch and talk about, and "Heart of a Dog" won by a tidy margin!

I'm guessing there's no harm in posting a torrent link up because said film was made under communism? i.e. no copyright? Mods correct me if i'm wrong and I won't post it up :D

Oh, ok sweet. Didnt read the entire thread so didnt know we had arrived at a winner! I am doing nothing today, just had a couple of cheeky blues, so may watch this one now! (unless I have missed a rule that we all need to watch it on the same day, in which case i shall wait!)

A little bit harsh there Marmz, especially seeing as the rules were changed about 5 times on the first page and are still not set in stone now, where's your compassion, although on a bad day I guess I might get annoyed at someone not reading a thread before posting.

About the rules, I agree voting for a person next time would be better, but there should be a second rule that say you can only choose the film once every 4 or 5 films or it could just end up with someone always being left out, I agree the fewer rules the better though. Maybe when you put yourself up for nomination you could mention a few films that you might choose, could be an unwritten rule to help people decide who to choose based on the film club only and not the rest of EADD.

Honestly, I don't understand why it has to be like the Presidential elections. Can't we just take turns or something? Maybe take turns to propose five films, then those films are voted for? Has no cunt heard of queueing?

I just don't want it to end up being a EADD favouritism contest where someone that isn't favoured as much doesn't get the chance to choose a film. I don't see anything wrong with how it is now with some film nominations being made, it's pretty much the same as Marmz' idea as it is likely that the film we are wanting to suggest is going to be the one we choose if we won the vote, why not just keep it as is with Username and film title in the nomination.

It doesn't have to be like the presidential elections. It just seemed common sense to me that some people might not want to wait 13 weeks? And who is the exhalted leader who chooses whose turn it is that week? And then what happens when people start getting picked 2 or 3 times before one person has even had a go? Or when after waiting months someone finally gets their turn and everyone's busy or totally disinterested?

This hasn't been overly complicated. It's spat out a good film. We've all been involved in the process, which should keep it going for longer. And no one has given me a good reason beyond wanting to impose their film/s on us as to why the method of favourtism is prefered? It's trickier, it's uninclusive, it could easily result in hurt feelings, people will become disenfranchised fast.
