EADD Cocaine Megathread - v. Cocky Coked Up Cunts Talk Coked Up Crap

10am, about to skin up and waste this Friday.

Only really have to change the bed sheets today as we are going out for dinner. Usually I get my gourmet on so the lady doesn't come home from work and put her mardy mask on

Excellent. I'm getting slightly bored of days off (months off...) but I remember them being fun when they were rarer. It's 1am here so I'm off to bed, have a good day and make sure you do all your chores like a good husband! :P

Couple of questions. Is it possible to easily find out what cuts are in/what kind of purity your coke is at home (as in, without having to send it away for testing)? And is there any way to completely get all the nasty stuff out so you're only left with actual coke?

I came in here to post this, funny you should be asking about cuts.

I was reading something that said it is estimated that up to 80% of coke is being cut with a rather nasty worming agent called Levamisole by the producers. It's possible for repeated contact with it to cause your skin to rot & it can also stop your immune system working properly too. It's more a problem for regular users.

I was looking over in NPD (Neuroscience & Pharmacology Discussion) forum & there seems to be a bit of debate over how much coke is really cut with it.

It's certainly a worry though. Here is an article on it:

Cocaine Laced With Veterinary Drug Levamisole Eats Away at Flesh

I notice there is an EZ test that will supposedly show the presence of Levamisole (as well as other common adulterants)

yeah IIRC they add it to give it the fish scale appearance you would normally associate with high purity coke. Heard of a few people getting colds that they cant shift for weeks, just keeps on lingering. Probably fucked their immune system.

Theres a few reasons.. I think anyway.. a few "working reasons" that are possible, its strange as smugglers want low volume and high purity for the transportation, so tainting it at such an early stage seems daft.

- Levamisole is a bulking agent for crack. The process of making crack involves "washing" cocaine and filtering out impurities and cutting agents. Levamisole slips through this process, meaning you can produce more volume of crack with less pure cocaine.

- Levamisole passes the "bleach test," a simple street test used to detect impurities in cocaine. When dropped in Clorox, pure cocaine dissolves clearly. Procaine (a common cutting agent) turns reddish brown, lidocaine turns yellowish, and other impurities float to the bottom. In a lab test conducted by Dr. Clark, levamisole stayed clean and clear.

- Something about the chemical structure of levamisole retains the iridescent fish-scale sheen of pure cocaine, according to a chemist with ties to the cocaine trade, giving cocaine cut with levamisole the same appearance as pure cocaine.

c-c-c-c-cool.

I read something that said Levamisole had stimulating properties, either alone or synergistically with cocaine & this was one of the reasons why it is used.

Levamisole is the most common cutting agent in cocaine here, and has been so every year since 2005.

In 2012 it appeared that nationwide (NL) 61% of the cuts used were levamisol.

I've never heard that before.

It's very difficult to separate the levamisole. An aceton wash won't do it.

From the article.

"According to the study, levamisole acts on all three monoamine neurotransmitters," he says. "That's exactly what you'd expect from something that potentiates cocaine." In other words, levamisole may heighten cocaine's effects—or might be a stimulant all by itself.

Ta, I missed that link.

The horses had been injected with levamisole for deworming, which their bodies metabolized into speed. Studies in the 1970s had discovered that dogs experienced "mood elevation" after receiving doses of levamisole. And a 1998 study at Vanderbilt University showed that levamisole eased withdrawal symptoms in rats addicted to morphine.

Speed! [citation needed]

Giraffes do too, plus they get to see more and are less likely to get backhumped, in fact giraffes make for outstanding humpers themselves

Either way, I was clearly born the wrong species. All these animals seem to take more drugs than even me. Morphine addicted rats, speedy ketted up horses, high dogs.

Every time I see this thread it makes me want some lovely cocaine. Don't think I'll be able to hold off once I get some tomorrow. Ah well. Can't beat a bit of levamisole!

What is slightly odd is they are cutting it at source with levamisole but that probably costs as much or more for them to procure than it does cocaine. What's the point? Cocaine is worth absolutely fuck all at source, it only becomes valuable when it crosses borders.

This thread isn't helping my 3 week self imposed ban! Roll on bank hol weekend, just got a big redundancy payout from a job I left in March burning a hole...
