Cats or Dogs?

I've got my mate staying in my spare room for a little while, the Cats find this exciting as they get to go in the room that they're never allowed in, but my mates been encouraging them to sleep with her on night times, and keeps them with her for company. She said they've been cheering her up. So, I've found myself missing my cats, they've betrayed me the little tinkers. I've been used to them helping me get to sleep. It's just made me realise how much I will miss them if I have to give them up if court decides to evict me next week.

^ :(

My cat had kittens once and I didn't let any of them go to people in rented accommodation. People got pissy as hell but its just far too likely to end up in rehoming :( I worried that might be the case with you when you said you were getting them Cherry, I hope it doesn't come to this for all your sakes <3

^ awwwwwwwwwwww cute!!! i 'm going to let my dogs have pups but only when i know i have decent people who will have them and of course when i have found her a suitable boyfriend.

she's not going to get one with the antics she was at today. isnt it horrible whne the dog rolls in shit? she cose something liquid and v. dodgy today that smelt of slurry. she slopes off when we're walking and comes over looking all pleased with herself like she's just got a bottle of chanel

I really don't think I could bring myself to let them go, I'm so attached to them, and them me it seems. If I decide to move home if eviction happens, they're coming up North with me. I've already made sure they'd be able to, they'll be able to become outdoor Cats :D

If I have to go into supported accommodation, a friend is possibly going to look after them for me, if not they may have to be re-homed with either a friend or friend of a friend. I've had a bit of interest as they're such adorable characters.

i got both. dogs are twats, but i love them. Cats are up 'emselves, but i love dem too <3

I'm not voting, i don't see why i shoulkd choose.

This. I voted both. I'm not surprised druggies slightly prefer cats, relatively low maintenance. But damn when they drop a turd it stinks the room out!:p

.....err, you don't have to decide as you have demonstrated there is a "both" option.

I think the option for tracking users down and making them decide on pain of torture and possible death was ruled out due to overheads;)

Clearly if the tracking down option was taken forward a huge pack of cats would have be utilised :D

cats - reason being, thier independance.
If you treat your cat badly it'll leave your ass and find a nice old lady to feed it.
If you treat a dog badly it'll probably still love you.
An admirable trait maybe, but it is also kinda stupid, and needy

This thread looks neglected, so I'm bumping it with something neutral, just to make sure it's not archived. I suggest that POLL adjustments be kept to SMod level and higher from now on, to avoid any cheating by certain new EADD mods

Also, Effie? Now you've got a bike, shit just got real and your cat lovin' will be ever more entrenched - dog walkers are now your enemy. You'll understand soon enough. Mixed cycle/walking paths will bring you face to face with the enemy, and playing chicken with dogs - leashed or unleashed - will test you to the limit. Hills come a close 2nd in the biker's pain in the arse stakes imo.

I cycled over some paws last year*. It wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be :(

* not on purpose!

mmmmm the feline is clearly out of it's confinement, I saw this thread the other day but didn't realise I could "adjust" for justice:sus:

surely it takes at least 2 years training and experience in the field before mods are allowed to delve into the complex realms of poll fixing editing?

If not, I feel a strongly worded PM to Felix coming on ...

Decided to switch over to the dark side to see how I get along with mutts.

Millions of re-homing dogs online via various rescue and re-homing charities and shelters.

If I get on with whatever mutt I adopt, I'll probably get another soon after because I think they're more suitable when not solo ... at least a whippet is, and that's the breed Nerdboy and I have both agreed on. They can keep each other company. I think an older one that's hard to rehome ... like Lillian below, and a younger version would work well together, so the info says on the ad anyways ..

atm23, I looked up your breed of labradoodle [sp], and regardless of the insanely annoying breed name, I read nothing but awesome stuff about them. It's way too big for me and my home/facilities but it genuinely sounds like a lovely type of pet mutt.

Anyone got any experience with owning whippets?

The only negative I've heard is that they can fart a lot. For that reason alone, Nerdboy recons I'll have a lot in common with it :D

Dunno about whippets but lurchers are kinda similar aren't they? Laziest dogs in the world, they're great, no hassle. You practically have to throw them out the house then they run around stupidly fast for ten minutes and jobs done. If I got another dog it would be a lurcher.
