I think I could eventually be swayed to thee darkside by this cute little ankle biter

Resist, Marmz! That dog is definitely pretty cool but don't be swayed, it's all part of their game plan..

have to side with dogs. Had dogs all throughout my childhood, staffs only though. Parents used to breed them and we had a crufts champion, I love dogs but would only ever get a staff if ever get one when i'm older. I love cats too but never have had one. I like the idea of having a dog and a cat that get along with each other.

Dogs for me (and my vote has just put them back in front :) )
Had some great cats in the past though, including one that lost her tail after a run in with a dog...
Also met a stoner cat whose depth perception took a battering when it had been smoking, resulting in hilarity as it misjudged its jumps from chair to sofa..

I t was so long ago that I can't remember whether dog shows wer fun for kids or mind numbingly boring :\

I seem to remember crufts being better than shitty local ones, which i guess is obvious.

Also starting to ponder on the morality of breeding dogs with pedigrees to train them their whole lives to have a 'career' the never asked for so the owners can get nice fancy trophies and medals, and the better the dog does the more money the puppies can be sold for, and the puppies puppies too, especially if a good pedigreed stud is used on the crufts champion, female, remember it costing over a grand once to bring a welsh stud to our house and practically force it tohave sex with our dog.

Although in non show and non breeding tlimes when they were just pets it was great tohave them, they were the best pets ever. If iever get into the position of being capable of owning a dog i'm getting a staffy for surer:)

Mugz: 99% of people who buy pedigree dogs *don't* do it to breed them and win trophies. they buy them because that's the type of dog they want.

the people who show their dogs purely to win trophies are a bit mental. it's not a black and white issue. :)
